  1. My car alrady had these marks when we bought it. It only had 10k miles but I guess some kinds were in the back seats juding by the stains on carpeting. There are several interior paints available, but the key is getting close match to the OEM color. Ford sells their interior trim paints in cans for any interior color. It would be great if Lexus did that too ;) I asked the dealer if I could buy some of the touch up paint and they said that the detailer had the paint and the only way I could get some more of the scratches touched up was to bring it back to them. I hate them to pay them another $45. I talked with a representative from Lexus and after he researched the matter, he said that they weren't aware of the problem and there was nothing that they could do to help but if I wanted to take it back to the dealer they would replace the panels at my expense. I think I can live with the scratches.
  2. We have an 07 ES350. The panels that cover the rear srs air bags in the rear door jamb are made of black plastic and painted with a thin coat of gray paint to match the interior. The paint scratches off easily just by rubbing against it with anything, we've had them touched up twice at the dealer. They can't seem to find a solution. Other than that we've had the car for 18 months and love it...gets nearly 34 mpg on the road.
