I have been trying to get a straight up answer to this question for a while. Is the knock sensors in my car a problem that I need to be wooried about? If they are bad shoul I replaced them in a hurry or is a big problem period? Can someone please give me a straight answer? I can take it

Autozone says car is too old for code check but I have took it to two shops that both say it is the knock sensors now I just want to know is it a serious thing to replace the knock sensors?

I took my car to the shop and the mechanic says he fixed the connection that was causing my check engine light to come but if it comes back on he says I will have to replace the knock sensors and he says they are expensive So I want to ask Lexus Forum Is the knock sensor a big deal on a car? Do I really need to replace it right away another question is How do you check the transmission fluid and where do you put transmission fluid in on my car!! How do I know that I have enough transmission and that it is not leaking Knock Sensor problem, The check engine light used to come on real fast but it comes on 30 minutes while drive ordoesn't come on but the point is it stills comes on some time and I noticed the Oil leak light stays on I think constantly, What could be leaking

So I was turning my nob on my 93 Lexus Es 300 Radio and it got loose and finally stopped going up and down like it should!! The tape deck has already stopped workin! I think it is time to install my old Sony cd player into the car!! i need directions on how to install a cd player and will this effect that remote control light on the radio and what is that switch for remote control I have never used because it has never worked!! And yes it is ECt Power and what is over drive and how do you know if it is on or off? I'm not familiar with the shift pattern on your vehicle, over drive is the highest gear in the transmission, when you put it in drive on the indicator, it is in overdrive, if it doesn't have a button to disengage overdrive then you will have to manually move the shifter to the next gear, it may only have 4 gears one of which is over drive so to get it out of over drive it would have to be placed into 3 probably not a great idea unless you are primarily doing less than 45mph all the time. ECT Power like I said before should be a button that controls at which points the transmission will shift, it may hold on to a gear a little longer before it shifts, maybe the difference would be like shifting at 500 rpm higher or something like that. it gives you a different driving feel when driving it quickly or in a sporty manner. ok so whats does Od actually used for?

Usually the L means low or 1st gear and it will hold that gear indefinately to redline D2 means it will hold 2nd gear indefinately and depending on how the tranny is set up will either start off in first and stick with 2nd or start off in 2nd for use in slippery snowy conditions to get going when you are stuck or to prevent slipping in snow D is drive and it usually includes overdrive unless it is (depending on vehicle) disengaged Elec Power not sure what that is but if it is ECT Power than it is a different shift mapping for the tranny to follow to hang on to gears a little longer to give you a sportier experience and more driver oriented control. I want to know what The P R N D D2 L stand for on the gears, your know Park Reverse N D And what is is Od- Over drive and the ELec Power what purpose do all these serve

My car sometime has a check engine light come under the dash and the car acceleration kinda runs slow. One mechanic said he need to replace knock sensors(1000 dollars job) and other mechanic said he can't find out whats wrong with it you know!! So I confused Don't know whats going on? Any help?

I have a headunit that works fine, Except that it has a faux wood cover on it which needs to be taken off, Whoever placed it on did not do a good job. You can have it for $25.00 + shipping (worth $200.00) I have no need for it anymore. No biggie.................. its everything that came with the car factory So, You are looking for the cd changer replacement ? the car only comes with the tape player which is broken I want to know whats most inexpensive way to play my mp3s

Yes guys my tape deck on my radio is not working. It is playing a tape then spitting out after like 10 seconds. I was wondering would it be more cost efficient to buy another factory radio, put my car cd player in from my old car or see if I can find a cd changer for this car. I really just want to be able to listen to my cd's You know

Hey Guys I'm back again!! Okay I got my power steering hose on and its working like a charm! but we pulled the check engine lightwe were talking about last time and it turns our it is the knocking sensor!! My mechanic said he don't know if its a really big problem but I don't know thats why I can tothe forum.. Is this a really big problem that I should fix right away? He also said When I replace them I will have to buy two, Is this true
