  1. To answer Steve's question, the wind noise is bad when on the freeway going about 60mph and up. I can describe it in detail. When driving on the freeway, if I open my window just a crack, the wind noise is very loud, very apparent, and very annoying. However, when I close the window, only about 50% of that noise goes away and as you would guess, it IS still very loud, very apparent, and very annoying. I posted on the other Lexus forum and someone indicated that the early 07 models had this problem and that one member had the rubber seal and some felt padding redone or something and the results were DRAMATIC, lol. I will be on the lookout for that. Yeah, the salesperson I was with said all Lexus's have this wind noise but I was not buying that at all either. I will go back letting them know...that I KNOW about early 07 problems and see if they know about that. I wish salespersons were more accommodating and wouldn't just lie through their teeth to get a sale or deny further service. Also thanks Phil B. for the advice in dealing with the dealers, I'm in a weird situation because I wasn't even there when my parents bought the car and now I'M the one that has to be aggressive. Weird, but I have to do it. Thanks for the support. And thanks AZ08LexusES for confirming the wind noise problem with the early ES350s, 07s I assume, and for the advice on getting it checked out at a different dealership. It seems the one my mom went to was rated one of the worst in my areas based on Yelp. Great job mom...
  2. Yeah, something has to be wrong. My dad and I went to the dealer today, and we test drove another ES350 and it was pretty noisy as well! We test drove an IS250 and it was a little less noisy, but yeah the one I have is RIDICULOUS! For lack of time, we did not go to the service department. I called the salesperson who sold the car to us and he told us to bring it to the service department to check it out. I will have to do that soon.
  3. Hi Guys, To make a long story short, my mom just bought a 2008 Lexus ES 350 and now has some issues with it. The issue is that there is too much wind noise when she is driving on the freeway and driving it myself, I have to agree. The noise is almost as if the window is slightly open, but it isn't! All windows are fully closed and its still so noisy!! I am wondering what are the best solutions to this problem. Ideally, there is an aftermarket solution to this problem although I do not know what that is. That is why I am writing on this forum :) My mom would even go so far as to return the car, but since that is not possible, we would probably have to sell or trade it in, losing thousands of dollars. So if there is an aftermarket solution that dampens the noise or if you have observed this same problem please respond!! Thank you all so much!!
  4. When writing on the internet and especially when asking for advice, try not to write in CAPS LOCK because it gives the impression that you are yelling and no one wants to be yelled at. I bet if you edit your post to show that you consider the forum members, they will respond. It looks like that worked on the other Lexus forum you posted at. Just my 2 cents.
