  1. most of you probally have the 12 disc changer in the trunk for your sc,...

which is nothing to complain about, that can hold a lot of tunes,

but as technology gets better what can be done to keep the system up to date?

the radio face in my car is stock it has the tuner LCD and above that is the tape deck, its the Nakamichi (probally misspelled that) the questions are:

are new 12 disc changers available? -mainly mp3 readable, i also noticed mine does not play many burned CDs i make myself. i already tried different burners on different computers with different software.

is there a factory radio for a newer model sc maybe 2000 that has the cd slot right on the radio face?

if so -would that radio fit in the same spot and look factory installed on a 97?

(i dont mind losing the tape deck one bit)

  2. this problem bothers the hell out of me to, if your car is not garaged kept you might have to replace them once every 2-3 years. according to the previous owner of my car- or atleased polish em up...

im gonna ask around maybe "you" (as in sc3 & 400 owners) can help. i think all that can be done is bring the blue print, or the light housing itself to a glass fabricator. i think thats it because i have literally spent 100 hours online looking at aftermarket replacements, but never finding glass.

    -gimmie a few days

  3. if you have moisture building up in the head lamp housing you could drill a small hole in the top and/or bottom of the light housing (on the back side of corse.) this will allow the evaporating water out the top hole and puddles to drain from the bottom hole... now- very important this hole will let moisture in so if you live in say... south florida where it is humid, youre gonna need to put hot glue or duct tape on the hole when it is dried inside.

i havnt looked at my light in a while but i think you can leave the light housing on the car and do all that,.... (as a cheap quick fix)

  4. heres another, i called a turbo shop, they told me it would cost $40,000 to put an HKS turbo on a 2jz-gte engine. so after i convert the GE engine to a GTE engine it would be an additional $40k. thats nearly twice the amount the car was purchased for..... it doesnt take a brain surgen to figure out thats a complete rip off.

one reason the price was outragous is,

i was told "you need a dyno tester to put a turbo on a car" for timing reasons,....

    is that true?

  5. heres 1- first can the Japanese version of 2jz-gte be imported? i mean to say is, are they street legal or does it produce too much power?

next- instead of paying an !Removed!-load of money to have a pro reprogram the obd to be turbo-compatible, could you use a chip out of a soarer?

    -will it fit and function?

and last but surely not leased instead of all the converting, reprogramming, and adding turbos, plus dealing with the migraine headaches associated with doing it yourself- could you buy and import a soarer with the steering wheel on the left, do they even exist???
