Has anyone used or heard anything good or bad about the new chocolate phone from Verizon??

i was told it taste nothing like chocolate

I'm looking to make something from fiberglass but have only worked with it once so i have a few questions

1. I need to make something a lttle thick as its for a speaker(sub) but I'm wondering how many layers of fiber glass should i use at the most ?

2.i need to make a mold ,but the mold i need to make is inside the car and the area has carpeting around it ,what do i use or do to make the mold on the carpet since the unit will be sitting on the carpet anyway?

3.what do i use as a release agent from the mold for the fiberglass?

any links or info would be very help full when I'm done with my project ill try and make a wright up to help others as well.

Hey guys im going to install a kenwood DVD/Navi/CD head unit in my 1998 gs400 and i need some help .

first im wondering if the rear window antenna is amplified or not?some tell me yes some tell me no .

also the :

-parking sensor wire ,what color is the wire i need and where is the harness located?

-vehicle reverse lamp wire,what color is the wire i need and where is the harness located?

Im looking to redo my sound system in my gs400 that came with a nach system but im not 100% sure about a few things if you have links to my question please pm them to me or post them here im basicly keeping the stock headunit but im going to upgrade the front and rear speakers as well as the sub

im not sure what fronts or rears (suggestions welcomed) i already have the sub

as for amps i have some amps to use from Alpine v12s ,soundstream van gohe and kicker im going to try from 4ch with a 2 channel amp running mono ,a mono amp and a 5 channel amp

well this is what i need

1. i need the wiring diagram for the speaker connection that goes in to the factory amp thats located in the right side corner under the carpet near the spare tire.

2.when upgrading the system do i need to do anything to the equalizer that sits behind the cd changer ?(leave it alone ,chuck it or bypass it)

3.if you have any pics please send them to me so i can see what you did

4. if you have any helpfull advise please let me know

ill be upgrading my alternator ,using a capacitor and running 2 guage wire to the back to a fuse block then going (4 guage or 8 guage power and ground wires depending on what amps i use )

I don't know about the altenator but Luxury Mods is a credible vendor.  Although I have not bought anything from them, I know of some who has and they had no problems with them.

You might also want to contact JP Importz.  They are here on LOC as member JPI.  i can't remember their website at the moment but they had a larget capacity alternator as well.  I personally know 2 people with the JPI alternator.  They both have large systems and have not had problems with the JPI one.

is there a way to make the guages at night as bright or almost as bright as when its day time ?

i never noticed till just a few weeks ago that my guages cluster lighting dims lighter the darker it gets out,it doest look bad but i would like it brighter ..i have the adjustment knob all the way to bright so im kinda stumped on what to do .

take out the panel that holds the lighter (very easy)and check that it is connected if it is check the line with a multimeter if you see power to it then the problem is the little diod on the cigaret lighter itself anotehr easy fix just time consumming .

Just wannna know if the shifter letters next to the gear shift should light up on my 2000 GS400(P R N D M 3 2 L). The one on the dash works. Someone said it should who had a 98 GS 2 years ago.

the gs glovebox comes off in 1 piece. just unsrew all the phillips screws holding it on. the equalizer is attached to the back of the cd changer by a blue square connctor. follow the wire to the equalizer. inspect for water damage signs.

well my eq is just fine i belive the problem is the amp runnin to hot and clipping ill try and make a mod with fans to see what happens .

all amps run hot just like engines. even if you didnt run the air the evaporator puts out condensation in hot weather and that is getting in the equalizer. the add on equalizer behind the cd changer was not planned for in original engineering of the 98 gs and it was mounted to close to the evaporator. i have already replaced 5 different nakamichi  gs changers and equalizers and 0 nak trunk amps so the equalizer has to be your problem not the amp. i advise not to touch the engine of your gs after you have been runnning your car for 1 hour either. there is an airbox in the quarterpanel below the amp so the amp is already getting air circulation.

ok my next question i how do i get to the eq then if you dont think the over heating of the amp is not the problem ?

I found a bee in my filter.  You can make one yourself with a $2 Home Depot airfilter.  Just cut it and retrofit it in place.

yup you can i read the how too also on this you can make about 4 of them for around 7-8 bucks or so ...you need to use a hepa filter.

well i was driving around tonight and had my stock system pumping but after an one hour it started to kinda sound funny like a fizzle anyway im guessing its the factory stock amp ..since it was extreamly hot to the touch(you could have burned your hand on it even fried an egg) i noticed the amp has vents on the side and was wondering if anyone has done anything to help keep it cooler by doing some mod to it such as blowing air on it or sucking the hot air out with fans...or anything else ..any ideas would be great to help keep the stock amp cooler .

its very easy just go through the wheel wells ..take off the lower and mid screws and push the plastic shroud in and the screws for the sidemarkers will be accessable (10mm i belive they where) its about a 15 min job if you need more help email me supra498@usa.com i can walk you though it.

yea it does suck the price you pay..i sugest you shop around a little more or raise your deductables to lower the price..

also (here in nj) you get a discount if you have a car alarm or low jack in your car.
