    Thanks Gene. I ran into a highly experienced tech today who said it sounds like I have an injector leaking down. Trouble is, it's intermittent. Will let you all know if I fix it. Paul

    Hi. My 96 es300 (275k miles) sometimes doesn't restart hot--cranks over fine. Sometimes it coughs and I smell partially burned fuel. After several tries it starts and runs ok. Intermittent ignition? Anyway, could use advice. Paul Smith fat37ply@nc.rr.com
