  1. Does anyone know for sure where the engine block coolant drain !Removed! are on a 2001 LS430? (Note not in same location as earlier model) TIA, Ed
  2. Steve: Greatly appreciate the help here. I will need to get back under my car to check this out. However, if I am reading this diagram correctly, I think there might be two drain !Removed!; maybe one on either side of the block, as I think the parts list shows 2. Cheers, Ed
  3. I am trying to replace my coolant and I have read everything I can find specific to the LS430 on doing this. I read the very useful post on changing coolant on the earlier model but the engine block drain plugs are obviously in a different location than my 2001. I have an alldatadiy.com subscription for my car but their manual shows two drain plugs that appear to be up near the top of the engine (one near the water pump and the other on the driver's side of the engine, near the top of the engine). The third drain plug, at the bottom of the rad I can find - no problem. Can anybody confirm if the alldata locations of the first two drain plus are accurate? The alldata is a very crude drawing (see attachment). If anyone could post a picture or give clear directions on where to find I would really, really appreciate it. I am wondering if there still are three drain plugs- maybe alldata is out of date? How good a job would it be if I just drained everything I could from the rad plug alone? TIA, Ed
  4. I am sure most would suggest just going for Lexus replacements but, given the car’s age and the likelihood I will be replacing in a year or two, I was wondering if aftermarkets like Magnum might be suitable, the price certainly is attractive. Regards, Ed
  5. I have a 2001 LS430 that I believe is in need of brake rotor replacement. The car has 95000 miles on it and the original rotors. I am now starting to feel pulsing when the brakes are applied even under fairly light pressure. I am having trouble finding good quality replacement rotors in Canada. I see on eBay that there are rotors made by a company called Magnum brake. Can anyone tell me if these are good quality? Or suggest another supplier. Much appreciated, Ed
