  1. Take it apart again and make sure that the shifter can move completely forward into the park position. I had this same problem a year ago, and found that a paper clip had fallen into the shifter slot and was keeping the lever from making the last few thousandths of its forward travel.
  2. Could anyone please share with me the method of resetting my 1994 GS300 computer? In trying to work with the problem that I posted yesterday, the situation has gotten worse. This morning I found that the battery was near dead, I charged it but found that when trying to start the car, the starter would not even click. Is there something that in the system that prevents the solenoid from firing? Is the system key dependant? I disconnected the battery in order to remove the stuck key to try the key that I used yesterday, but when I reconnected the battery the security alarm which I didn't even know I had began to sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave
  3. Hello, I'm new to the forum and have been doing some searching regarding my ignition key being stuck in the switch cylinder. Clockwise movement beyond ACC to start and run the car is fine, but I can't turn the ignition past ACC Counterclockwise to remove the key, unless the battery is disconnected. I have read a few replies to similar problems and the most common remedy is to push the shifter hard into Park. Unfortunately I have done this already but it still won't turn. Does the system use input from the nuetral safety switch to determine that it is park, or is there a seperate sensor that indicates that it is ok to allow key removal? For either, is access obtained from inside through the shifter console, or from underneath the car? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
