  1. Hello Guys. I also have to agree with an original message owner. I had a X5 before and like it very much! When my lease expired I decided to get GX because of the baby I have now (thinking that Lexus should be more quiet and soft), 3rd row seat and also it was a much better lease deal. I also had only 15 min test drive. So, now lets compare. X5 had an unbelivably good handling. Of course I understand that GX is a truck opposite to the X5 that resides on a sedan platform. But the handling is not good in GX - you have to hold the steering wheel in both hands when turning. It's not sticking to the road as X5. Ride in sport mode is probably same or even more hard than X5. For some reason X5 took the bumps nicely. Even in the soft mode, GX not taking bumps perfectly. Noise. I wanted to have a more quiet SUV to enjoy the music, but on highways GX is even noisie than X5. But, I still like the vehicle.
  2. OK guys. I believe I found an answer in search on LX forum.
  3. Hello everyone. As a new owner who never had a SUV with separate Low/High gear selector shift before (previous car was a X5) I have a questions when I practically should use this manual selector. I see a manual to be confusing. My question arised when I put manual level in 'N' thinking that it is a regular position and had my transmission selector set in 'P' parking and found that a car is actually moving downhill as it would be in neutral. Thanks got I didn't hit another car parked in front of me. SO, it appears that manual selector should stay in 'H' high in regular driving. If I put manual selector to 'L' low, what is the point of using transmission '4', '3', '2' and 'L'. Also how that button for 50/50 affects driving in those modes?
  4. Thank you GS400jon. I didn't get KDSS option because I wanted to save some $ and was even ready to get a truck w/o 3rd seat and navigation. But the deal I was offered was the GX with 3rd row, Nav/ML, no KDSS. So, it is like in the rule "You get what you paid for". To answer to previous person I have to agree that I have to pay more attention to grammar (English is not my native language), but I was in a hurry, so I frased some questions not in very good manner. But I think that anyway it was readable and understandable. He just didn't have an answers.
  5. Hello Everyone! Just picked a new black/beige GX470 w/navigation/ML/3rdseat. Like it a lot, but miss X5 flat handling (no body roll), heavy feel of steering and xenon lights. I have a couple questions and will appreciate answers. 1. Cannot find any hooks in a car. I have a picture of it in a book, but seems they are missing in a car. 2. Is anyone tried to put white bulb in headlights? I cannot put an aftermarket xenons (I know there is a kit) because I'm leasing a car. 3. I have read about editions like (something like 9700E), but cannot find it on a label. I only know that a car was assembled in 02/2004. 4. What is a big deal about bringing suspension up/down, when it is working only for rear and it will auto to normal at highway speed.
