  1. Greetings,

    I wasn't thinking when I didn't post pictures.

    So here is my attempt.

    Pic 1 is the sping.

Pic 2 is my wife's spring attached.

Pic 3 is where I think one end of the spring is attached. The Chrome "Stud" is on the right side of the brake pedal assembly. I could't see where the other end attaches.

    Thanks Again,

  2. Greetings,

To further enhance quality and safety, your Lexus is equipped with a direct-sensing Tire Pressure Monitor that helps ensure drivers won’t experience hazardous driving conditions or increased tire wear because of low tire pressure. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) consists of tire pressure sensors integrated within the air valve of each tire (each with a built-in semi-conductor to directly measure the tire’s, air pressure) an antenna and a monitor receiver that receives the tire pressure of all five tires (including the spare) and transmits signals to illuminate the tire pressure warning light and show the tire pressure warning message on the combination meter’s multi-information display.

If you have rubber valves stems...it appears you do not have the correct monitoring system.

    Hope the above information helps.

  3. I just had the 3M clear bra installed on my hood, fenders, mirrors and headlights. It looks great on my smoky granite (dark gray) IS250. The dealer was asking $1000, so I called around to get some price quotes. I got it all done for about $300 with the name brand 3M kit by a guy named Dean who has his own business and does these full time. He's north of Seattle, but came all the way out to Issaquah for a reasonable travel charge to do mine.

I'd definitely recommend this route instaid of paying the dealer three times as much.

Here is the contact info for the guy who did mine:

I wish he'd drive down to Southern California!!

My husband was kind enough to point out to me today my first rock chip. Only 1,800 miles on the car!!!! Oh, and as luck would have it, I ran a cart into the rear end of my other car, and it now has a nice little ding. Yikes! It's hard keeping cars looking nice.......

    Greetings,

Why do we never run the shopping carts into our old cars?

  4. If you do a search here, you'll find some discussions about the ECT switch. I have noticed the car does respond more with less accelerator input, and the shifting logic changes also. I can feel it downshift in the power mode when I brake, but in normal I don't feel that at all. I have also noticed and come to really like the transmission will hold a gear much better when going into the twisty section of road. When I am just about to clip an apex, the transmission seems to just be happy to stay in gear even when I come off the throttle all the way, so when I press on the throttle coming out it just picks up where it left off and keeps everything really smooth. It took a few times to get used to it, but now I have come to really appreciate some of those little changes.

    Thanks Smooth1,

Exactly what I was looking for. I tried the search but it didn't work for me. Do you need to be a "Gold Member" to search? Additionally, I'll contact administrator.

    Thanks again,

  5. Hey people... this is the first time in puttin up a topic. I have a little issue!!! I have a Lexus IS 250. With Bridgestone Poetenza Tires (Peace of Sh*t), anyways. Around January I got my first flat tire on one of the tires in the back got that fix with fix a tire. In February i got my second flat tire (again the other one in the back) went to GOOD YEAR to patch it and didnt work still gets low on air every 3-8 days, and now i have my THIRD flat tire! which is making me  ! Put air in it last nite and then this morning flat again.

I am so sick and tired of these stupid tires goin flat  . And i live in South Florida so everywhere you go theres nails or rocks, etc.... Reading the tire manual of course its not covered. Has anyone else had this issue!?!?!?!

Please let me know what i can do? other than buying new tires, Gas aint cheap to be wasting money on new tires! I dunno if i need to keep calling Lexus to !Removed! them out or what?

    Please Help.

    Thanks :D

    Greetings,

How do you get a nail in the back tire...why wouldn't the nail first puncture the front tire. Or, maybe the front tire flips it up and the back tire runs over the sharp end?

Well good luck with those tires.
