How do you determine which generation you have or need?

Need some help. I have an 03 SC430 with a 2.1 GPS data base. I also have an 08 RX350 with a 7.1 gps data base. Can I take the GPS disc from the RX, make a copy then upload it to my SC430 to upgrade from 2.1 to 7.1?
