I couldn't eject the discs from the back of the CD player. I tried with every type of tool I had to push them out the front, but no luck. And now the changer isn't even spinning :(.

Same issue my brother in law has. Tried inserting a CD to induce the others to pop out - no luck. Disconnected the battery and now the unit has stopped spinning every time the car is started. I'm afraid to hit the eject button for fear that it'll start spinning again.

I'm located in Texas. I don't like the look of the chrome wheels as much as I thought :(. Where about are you located?

Took the whole thing apart, found one plastic clip that had broken into 3 pieces. Tried superglue and it held up until I put everything back together and then it broke again. B/c of a $.20 clip, I'll have to spend $230 for a whole new fixture. Any ideas on alternatives?

Anyone interested in trading a set of 17" non-chrome OEM wheels for a set of 4 17" chrome wheels? I have pics of the other wheels if you're interested.

All, The clip holding the rear vanity mirror doesn't work. It'll hold it up but then I can't bring the mirror down. Any ideas or thoughts on how to fix or where to order a replacement part?

All, My brother-in-law's LX driver's seat only reclines backwards but not forwards. Any idea what the issue might be? If it moves backwards, it's likely not the motor right? Thanks.

Wanted to upgrade to the GS430 5 spoke rims. Seen a stock GS300 with 18" tires currently on the car. Is it a simple rim swap or will I have to change tires as well?

Anyone selling (or know where I can purchase) the GS430 5 spoke rims? I don't like the stock GS300 rims.

Not sure if it makes a diff, but it's GS300 not 350. He's got the Z rated Bridgstones on them, which I doubt will give me many more miles. I think I'd consider replacing them with a V rated tire that will last me a little longer than the Z rated ones. Michelin Primacy MXV4 or Turanza EL42?

Yea I was trying to stay around $30k, so the GS350s would me put well over that. I have found a private party GS with the 18" 5 spoke w/ Bridgstone Potenzas on for $34,250. No nav, or ML stereo system. 25,500 miles. All maint done at the local lexus dealer. Fair price?

Looks like the certified 06 GS300s are listed on AutoTrader for around $35k. Most have around 25-30k miles on them. No navigation or any of the real upgrades. I don't like the rims on the RWD model, and would like to get the GS430 5 spoke. With that in mind, how much room do you think I might have on the $35k price? I guess they'd have to upgrade both the rims and tires from the stock 17s right?

Any major issues to watch out for on the 06 since it was the first production year for the new body style? I didn't realize this car gets such great gas mileage!

I currently drive an 03 I35 that gets about 20 mpg. My commute is about 12 miles each way, and we frequent Houston quite a bit. I'd say I drive 45% city and 55% hwy...and I definitely don't have a heavy foot :-). With those stats in mind, I'm thinking I'll still be able to get 19mpg with the LS. And comparing to the mdx, most owners of the LS say they get better gas mileage than the official, whereas mdx owners say they get worse. Does anyone drive an MDX and an LS that can provide insight? With all the ppl dumping SUVs, do you think the same will happen with V8 powered cars like the LS?

The car i'm looking at has got 18s...does that mean it's the sport model?

The website shows 16/23 for the LS, with annual fuel costs of $3500 assuming 4.16/gallon gas price. How accurate is that? Compared to a honking 4runner, on average, the LS and 4runner both get 18 mpg. Of course this assumes 45% hwy and 55% city.... For those that have 05 LS 430s, what does your trip computer tell you your mileage is?
