  1. I know that my 2002 LS-430 does the same thing. I'm not sure, but I don't think the trunk is designed to pop all the way open, but I have wondered about the condition of my struts too, since the trunk lid seems awfully heavy to lift open. you can go to www.partsavenue.us it is cheaper than the price you mentioned. I also found a discount code that that site offers: 190602

  3. HI GUYS, I HAVE BEEN ASKED ABOUT THE LIFT SUPPORTS FOR THE HOOD AND TRUNK OF THE LS430. I AM TRYING TO DETERMINE THE FORCE OF THE GAS CHARGED TO SEE IF IT WILL SUPPORT A MODIFIED SPOILER. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A SET FOR THE HOOD AND TRUNK FROM WWW.PARTSAVENUE.US AND THEY SEEM TO HAVE ENOUGH FORCE TO SUPPORT A SPOILER. ANYONE KNOW WHATS THE GAS PRESSURE FOR THESE SUPPORTS
  4. I bought one on ebay (PartsAvenue) for my 2004 LS430. I was surprised how good the quality was espicially compared to the price the dealer was asking for. The installation is fairly simple. it takes 10 minutes, BUT YOU DO NEED SOMEONE TO HOLD THE TRUNK FOR YOU :) PartsAvenue did offer Lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects.
