  1. Yes I did its not the parking brake. I discovered today that it spins freely when the wheel is off. It is not until the wheel is put on and tight that it doesnt move. Any ideas? So, without the wheel on, the rotor spins freely by hand? With the wheel on, but the lugnuts loose, it spins freely also by hand? Only when the lugnuts are tightened is when it binds? Have you tried spinning the wheel by hand when it's on and tightened? I'm only suggesting by hand because if it does spin freely, but then binds when you drive, it might be a drivetrain problem, not a brake problem. Thanks for the suggestion but I believe the problem has been solved thanks to mikey00. It turns out i have the wrong parts. When i ordered the parts it never asked me if I have the FWD or AWD RX300. I have the AWD and they sent me the rotors for the FWD. My best guess is the FWD parts are bigger so when I tightend the lugs onthe wheel the actual brake pad bracket is what is rubbing on the rotor. After getting the right parts I should be problem free with any luck!

  3. Yes I am positive. The rotors dont bind up it seems to be the pads that are binding. PLus the old rotor and new one look identical. Is there clearly a difference between the two? When I took everything apart I noticed that the inside pad was what seemed to be causing the binding. What could be causing this?
  4. Ok guys here is the situation. I had to do a brake job all the way around on my rx300 AWD. I bought new rotors and pads and decided to tackle it today. The fronts went on perfect after I took it for a ride to check and make sure everything was as it needed to be and it was. Now on to the rear everything came off just fine and went back on just fine. So I get everything all back together, I put the wheels back on and tightened them. Now to the test drive. That didn't go so well because when i put it in R to back out after I let off the brake it wouldnt move not even a little bit. I gave it some gas but it still wouldnt budge. I gave it a little more gas and it moved, but it was REALLY binding up somewhere. I put it in park and decided to take a look. I took off the wheels on both sides, took everything apart again and put it back together again. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so i thought maybe it is fixed now. I tried it again with no luck it was still binding up somewhere. I have done many many brake jobs and have had nothing like this happen. Can anyone please help me out. I am stuck! ( No pun intended, haha)
