My 99 RX300 has 71k miles and I just noticed the same @!#$*^%# thing under my engine! Unfornately, I bought mine used almost 2 years ago so any hope I have of going to Lexus is nil. Was a TSB ever issued on this problem? Looks like I'll have to start shopping Toyota mechanics - any suggestions for the Manassas, VA area or Northern Virginia in general? Thanx, Kurt

Hi there - Is there anywhere on the web where detailed Technical Service Bulletins are available? I've been to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm and they only list the titles. A "search" costs almost $40/hour to get the actual report. Thanx, Kurt

Hi, My 1999 RX300 has 56K+ miles and the check engine light just came on. Is there a way to read the code without going to a dealership? In my dodge caravan, one turns the key off-on 3 times and the code flashes on a dash idiot light. Secondly, are the Service manuals worth the money? Brake pads are approaching replacement status and I wouldn't mind doing it myself but have never done so on this vehicle.
