98 ES300 148K miles 75-80 MPH = 23.2 MPG

My turn signal switch appears to have started making a "static" like sound possibily some internal arcing when I use the switch to indicate a left turn. If I hold the switch slightly down, before the turn signal indicates, I can also hear the crackling sound. Is this a problem and if so how do I replace / repair the switch?? Thanks I have used this site for several repairs now and am ver thankful for all help but I came up empty with my search Joe in NC
