  1. I need to replace the cabin filter in my 99 LS too. Is the filter a single part or does it consists of two parts (e.g. in acura RL), which would mean I need to order two of them? I also found this source for the filter: http://www.overnightautoparts.com/storefro...65397+1656+9172 Good price? I rather pay a little more but want to have Denso quality filter than some no-name stuff. Are there any other sources for Denso filters? thanks
  2. thanks for the response! my buddy found a module which we hooked up to the front lights and now we got DRL on our european LS.
  3. hi, as I own an european version of the '99 LS400 I don't have DRL (day running lights). From several pics on the internet I saw DRL on the 98-00 LS400. Was DRL on those LS standard in US? If so, can you please give me some information on the wiring? Or do I need some kind of a module I need to hook up to my non-DRL LS400 to become a DRL LS400? thanks!
  4. 20 MPG on daily drive (city, highway up to 80 mph, traffic jams, etc.) 26 MPG on highway only, around 80 mph
  5. thank you for the welcome! actually those side markers do work. looks really cool and let the car appear much wider in rear mirrors. now the LS needs some 18" rims. 19" would be nice too, but don't want to spend to much money on this LS. i plan to drive it 2 years and switch to an 2006 LS430 president line.
  6. hi guys, i dl this zip file, reworked, put all together, attached a table of contents at the beginning and linked all together. additionally it includes all the original PDFs. here is the new file: http://rapidshare.com/files/95353818/LS400Manual.rar PW: LS400 but there is one important section missing, the diagnostics part (DI). it is all about tracking down an error/problem. does anybody have this missing part? if so i can again rework, include this missing part and upload again.
  7. Hi LOC USA members! I'm quite new to the Lexus community. I'm from Europe and own an 1999 LS 400 w navigation. The car is in perfect shape and had only 36k miles on the clock when I purchased it. Now it has 43k miles. Here is a picture of it: I recently started to do some maintenance on this car (although it has been well maintained by Lexus over the years). I changed the plugs from Denso to NGK. The Denso looked like new after 40k miles. I also installed LPG and done almost 6k miles on LPG till now. Everything works fine. So far I'm really happy with this car. The noise inside is so low compared to my 99 RL I owned before. And of course the V8 kicks !Removed!. I like to play games with all those Audis and Mercs on the autobahn. Soon I will take it for a top speed ride. The highest I went so far was 140 mph. A there was a lot of gas pedal left to go B) cheers LSLex
