  1. ...is there a special pattern to the lug that won't come off??? A special shape??? A different size??? If they're all identical you'll need a key.

are they aftermarket lugs??? or the stock ones??? Just trying to get some details to help.

If it's over torqued use a breaker bar and WD-40.

The pattern of the lugs are normal except for one that need to be used by something special and they are the factory oem lugs that never been changed to aftermarket.

I finally got my rims in and I had to buy new lugs :/. NOw I need to get springs to lower it.

  3. is the one you can't get off a special lug??? or is it just over torqued

very nice wheels by the way

I got it for 500 with wheels and it look so bad from what I see on other cars. I probably find that bolt thingy in my spare tire area hopefully I have it. If its overtorqued does anyone have an air jack to get the lug fast, some of the lugs won't just budge. Really helpful.

  4. I have the full Pioneer system with a 6CD changer in the trunk. So if I get the Naki radio, do I just pull the Pioneer and plug in the Naki? As you've probably figured out, I'm an automotive nitwit so forgive if this is what you've already said.

Maybe a bit off subject but the reason I have to replace the radio (head unit?) is that the previous owner's kids put quarters in the cassette slot. As far as I know, the quarters are still in there because the previous owners said that, for awhile, all they had to do is thump the dash and the radio would work. My guess is that the thumping bounced the quarters around. Is it possible that removing the quarters is all I have to do? Is it possible to do....even for a nitwit?

HOw much are willing to pay because I have taken my pioneer headunit from my ls400 with the cd changers. I put in a system into my car because the factory unit couldn't produce much power for my subs.

  5. I just got set of club linea misterio with bolt pattern of 5 x 114.3mm (5x4.5) pattern and offset of 38 along the width of 8j.

REcently got them but I can't take off my oem rims because I can take off the 4 bolts but one why is that??. I want to put my rims on. I was wondering if anyone had this problem because it bug the crap out of me. Its just laying in my garage :/.

  6. Great info here.

I also have a '95 with problems with the front seat belt (driver's) and was about to buy a new one for $200+.

Now, based on this thread, I will call the Cust Serv Dept and try to get them to pay for the part or part/labor.

Hey melon are you going to get your fixed. Tell me how the Lexus handle your problem with the seatbelt since we re located in cali. I figure to wait till someone in cali to do it before I do it, but I have problems with backseat belt being loose with pasanger side.

  7. I'm planning to put an exhaust system by magnaflow with a x pipe. I was wondering if you take out all three resonator if it will pass smog or no. From what I see it sounds clean if you take out the resonator. The cost for taking out the resonator and putting x pipe with magna flow exhaust is 350 including labor. I hear people say x pipe is better than H pipe is that true. Just wondering...

  8. I have a 92 ls400 and my car have tailight blicker light, (brake) light , and engine check light. I'm having a hard time removing those code on my dashboard. I release the e brake all the way and it still can be seen and the taillight I try fixing by replacing the bulb but it still doesn't go away and now I have the engine check light :/. The user manual told me to go to lexus dealer but I was wondering what I can do to remove the engine check light before going to a dealer. You guys are the best if you can help me... :cries:

  9. I was wondering is it illegal to get full limo tint on all around on my ls400. I got a fix it ticket from a cop to rip it off in the pasanger side and driver side along with the front. Is it that bad or is it because of visibility? but the tint job i got life time warranty B) and they pay for my fix it :P.

HERE IN NEW JERSEY.....YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY TINT IN THE FRONT WINDOWS....ON THE WINDSHIELD JUST 5" FROM THE TOP... AND THE BACK WINDOWS YOU CAN PUT ANY TINT YOU WANT...EXCEPT...MIRROR TINT!

I have some picture of my lexus before the tint was removed in the front... tell me because some people say it can pass

  10. I 'm looking for a custom dash kit for 92 ls400 but all I see is the black dash kit that is boring. I want to find a dash kit that is wood like the the arm rest and stuff. I heard someone got one like it but I was wondering where??

P.s. any one know where to get rain guard/side visors for 92 ls 400 for all 4 doors?

I have been looking for rain guard for my car for a while too (90ls400) and all I can find are for the front doors...I did find a company a while ago (over seas) but they were just too expensive. If I do find something fo all 4 door I'll let you know...meanwhile, I'll continue my search! There are a couple of places on ebay that say wood trim (but not real wood) for your car....what kind of radio do you have (single or double din). I have a kenwood double din radio and I did not need a dash kit...because I was able to use the stock bracket (whre the original radio was) to install my new radio and the radio came with an oversize trim ring (you can get just the ring on ebay too) and all I had to do was custom cut the ring to fit the contours of the center console. I also bought the wood trim kit ($100) and it looks pretty nice...I attaching a picture now....if you look right under the radio the custom cut wood piece did not fit right (opening was not high enough to fit radio..I sent this picture to the company) and they were able to redo it and ship it to my at no charge so now it fits perfectly! I am also attaching the dimension for the radio custom piece...so you know how to cut the trim ring. I hope this helps!

thanks for the info but I was wondering what 8 inch subs did you replace because I'm planning to take mine out since it crackle at high bass for some reason which sound so nasty :/.

i have an alphine headunit i want to put in I guess its a single din? whatever that mean...

How long did it take you to put it in because I was planning to swap out everything from my car with 4 alphine type s speaker with 2 pioneer premier subs powered by two amps.

SINGLE OR DOUBLE DIN REFFERS TO THE HEIGHT ON YOUR HEAD UNIT....SINGLE DIN RADIOS ARE ABOUT 2.3 INCHES HIGH WHILE DOUBLE DIN RADIOS ARE ABOUT 4 INCHES TALL LIKE THE ONE IN MY PREVIOUS PICTURE. THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME WIDTH. IT ONLY TOOK ME ABOUT 30 MIN. BUT I DID NOT REPLACE ANY SPEAKERS----I DID REPLACE THE SUBWOOFER IN THE BACK BUT I KEPT THE STOCK AMP. THE AFTER MARKET RADIO SOUNDS A LOT LOUDER THAN THE STOCK RADIO AND IT SOUNDS GREAT WITH THE STOCK SPEAKERS SO I DID NOT FEEL THAT I NEEDED NEW AMPS...BACK IN THE DAY I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE PUT NEW ONES...BUT I HAVE KIDS NOW SO I CAN'T BE GOING TOO LOUND ANY MORE...LOL GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT...KEEP ME UP TO DATE WITH PICTURES!!!

HERES: A LINK ON INSTRUCTIONS TO REMOVE THE BACK SEAT...YOU WILL NEED THEM!

where did you get the wood dash? I 'm fine with it if it look identical to the wood trim as the 92 lexus.

  13. if you install new OEM shocks the GAP is going to disappear. changing the OEM shocks with aftermarket ones will sacrifice whole lexus quality ride. toyota invested millions of dollars to make is smooth and soft as it is, any other shocks are going to destroy it. OEM shocks are just as much money as aftermakret ones.

are you saying i should get another set of oem shocks and decrease the ride height?

  14. I have heard good things regarding the Bilstein HD shocks for the GS. Great replacement for OEM shocks due to no reduction in ride height and smooth like OEM ride quality.

Driving a vehicle equipped with Bilstein Gas Pressure Shock Absorbers is an exhilarating experience. There is, quite literally, nothing like it. Unbelievable control and stability. Precise handling. Ultimate performance. And incredible comfort.

HEAVY DUTY (HD) - For most vehicles including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for heavy hauling for occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional “street” ride.

i put h&r springs on mine and they lowered it 1 inch, i would like to put a 2 inch drop in the rear, but the h&r's have a great ride to them, i suggest using tokico blue shocks

how much did it cost you and how is the ride comfort?
