  1. Get on club lexus. A member "Blizzy" has a post about everything you are looking for. I could go into what is involved and what you need but it would be better to get the info from his write-ups, as he experienced what needs to be done, first hand. In short, he's made some awesome discoveries that has pretty much opened the doors for a lower budget 5psd swap into the sc400. Have fun!

  2. I think it would depend on how much you budget is because they do not make a turbo kit for this car. if you said $1500-2k. i would lol. I think the best thing would be to get a supercharger bracket from lextreme and get the vortex supercharger. you wont be needing that much boost in this v8 to satisfy torque and hp needs. i think you could probably push the stock internals on this car to about 17psi at the most? but then again im just guessing. in any case that would be more than enough. If you want budget dont do turbo.

    bodys great,very small dent driver side quaterpanel , mechaniclly sound antenna broke cd doesnt work,

    interior is ok, seats worn, carpet worn,

    HKS exhust and 6 spoke rims

    no problems...tire pressure was low when i bought the car in the front pass side, its pulled real hard up hills.filled it and runs fine.

    great car needs a lsd, flywheel and clutch and its will be mint for drifting

    dont forget suspension too

  4. My advice would be to pull an ecu out of an sc400 at a pick and pull or TAP. Plug it in. if it starts, ur good. if not return it. TAP i think has a thirty day return policy. Cost of a new one is around $1000 around 200 for a used one. Look around online too.

  5. ummm lol the fact that you have to roll the fenders for compensate for the width of the tire? I dont think we are talking about the same thing. I was talking about a fender rolling kit. what kind of kit are you talking about? I think i was confused at the fact that you said you have to "modify the fenders to achieve this look" meaning, because the tires rubbed, you had to roll the fenders. I just couldnt think of any other reason why you would want to roll ur fenders other than if you wanted to put a wider tire on. thats why i said what i said.

    I guess it would depend on ur tire size right? And that was my next question for you...

  6. oh okay, so it turns over and just dies right? might be a sensor of some sort. possibly the mass air flow sensor. My suggestion would be to maybe take it in and have them look at it. After they identify what it is, then put it in yourself and get the part somewhere else.

  7. What does it sound like when you try to start it? Fast Click - usually battery, Silence with one tiny click - Starter, If its starting to die while ur driving then i would say its the alternator. Also check the ground wires going from ur (-) on the battery the engine block and chassis. The check the ones on the (+) side going to the engine block, the body, and to the alternator. If these connections are corroded with rust, dirt, etc. this might be the problem. Also check the connections on ur battery terminals. Then check all of ur plug wires and the coil connections.

    That should just about do it!

    oh and go get ur battery, starter and alternator checked. Process of elimination ;)
