  1. Yeah im only gonna be looking for the 75 shot(just to have fun once in a while) and im not looking at destroying the tranny anytime soon cause its a daily driver. But thank you very much for the great info. Sorry but i have a couple more q's. you went with the s&s headers (correct me if im wrong but) from what i understand they do not come with a place to bolt on the egr valve. So did you get the delete kit from lextreme? if so can you still smog ur car in ca?

  2. ive read up on this a lot. none of the manual trannies from the supras just bolt up. to my knowledge this whole operation is pain in the !Removed!. 1. you will need to by the sc300 clutch pedal !Removed!. and everything that goes along with it, from lexus ($600-700), since ur probably not gonna find an sc300 5spd in a junk yard. Everything should just bolt right up. the clutch is the easy part. o yeah, and its also hydrolically driven.

    2. need to find either an r154 or v160 tranny out of a supra 2jzgte or 7mgte. then you need an adaptor plate to mate the tranny with the bell housing. the adapter plates arent cheap, like $800 to $1200 dollars not cheap. go here for example => http://rushimports.com.au/index.php?cPath=22

    3. now you have to trick the ecu into thinking its in neutral and have to cut one of the speedo sensors. Go onto lextreme.com/forums there are lots of threads on this. Ask your techs at toyota and get their input.

you can do the caps, rotors, plugs and wires easily. i did it one night. just unbolt the four bolts (i think 4) holding on that "v8 four cam 32 cover" and go from there. wire, plugs etc are all packed in there. as for the timing belt, you could do it. i dont doubt anyone. just get some advice from your techs first on what you'll need and what to expect.

I know im talking a lot but thats becuase i dont wanna here you fail lol

Advice: Do Not do any modding or manual swapping til you have that car checked out and have the maintenance done. and i mean all the maintenance. i used to work at lexus and i still paid 2 grand before i was done. The last thing you want to have is your car take a shiza on you right when your about to destroy a civic.

Good luck dude. Some day i hope to tackle to maual swap myself.

  3. authentek. Just trust me. 20's are way too big. his picture angles dont reveal how ridiculous it actually looks. Lets put it this way, if you put 20's on ur sc, you wont be able to lower it. not even an inch. secondly, they are going to rub. i have eighteens on my sc, its lowered only 1 inch and the tires rub. just imagine 20's. Third, rubber for 20's is alot more expensive than rubber for 19's becuase you have to purchase a extremely low profile tire to make it fit in your wheel well. not to mention the lower the profile of the tire, the worse the ride quality. im serious, it will feel like you're in a tractor. Lol. I dont know how they do it in florida or texas, and this isnt a dis on where ur from, but, out here, especially in places like oakland, 20's = baller status and 19's = Lexus motorsport. Go with the 19's dude =)

  4. please dont do 20's it looks fricken stupid

Thanks my first choice was to go with 19's but then heard 20's will look better however never really felt comfortable with that so i think i'm going to end up putting 19's on it asap.

pm me your email and ill send ya pics of how mine look w/ suspension

Show me a side view. do they rub at all or do you have it lifted?

  5. for the cd player

    1. Hold the button down for a few secs then release to remove the cd holder. then close the cd player without the cd holder in it. Then press and hold the button again. This will remove any cd's that may be stuck in the cd player.

    2. dont know if you already know this but Make sure all cds you put in are facing the right way

    3. Get a new cd player

  6. uh oh! ur gonna have to replace the head hahaha jk. But yeah from a mechanical side, you should have no problems unless theres like an absolute tone of water in the combustion chamber but if ur plugs were in tight enough, theres im almost 99.9% sure theres no water in there. And if there were, and if you have driven the car since, then you have already burnt it off. so ur fine dude!

    Cheers
