  1. i swapped mine out to some jdm piaa ultra whites for my high and low beams and i'm runnin' some super yellow bulbs (like the ones on the jgtc cars) on my fogs...their easier on my eyes when driving at nite...driving with regular halogens seem dark to me now...

  2. i think the rx300 was only avail for 4yrs...from 99 - 03...

The 330 is new for '04, so I would think they would keep it for a few years, at least.  The 300 was around for what, 7? 8? years?

The 400 is the hybrid version, but that will be in addition to the 330, not as a replacement for it.

  3. i have an rx300 with an aftermarket 10 disk dvd changer by rosen mounted out back...i think it was like $500 or so...it displays thru my santeca monitor for the kids in the backseat...i don't remember the monitor price but it's mounted to my center console. people ask me why i don't have a bigger monitor mounted overhead instead, it's because i don't want to block my rearview...i didn't want to shell out for a pair of headrest monitors either

  4. Performance and Aero would be nice first, but what is i.c.e?

    Thanks,

    JB

not a whole lotta performace parts for the car but there are several aero pieces available out there...some outrageous, some with a cleaner look to it...check myautofashion.com for a couple options...i.c.e = in-car entertainment, ie - dvd, monitors, game systems, etc...

  5. so i was driving along yesterday and all of a sudden my check engine lite starts flashing and my idle is real, real ruff - the entire vehicle is shuddering...lt's like she is not firing on all cylinders or something...this happened to a friend of mine on his honda but it was because he had cleaned his engine and water got on something (spark plugs?)...he dried everything off and it seemed fixed. i'm not sure if the same thing is happening here...i had gotten my car washed earlier in the day but i didn't have my engine cleaned as my friend had before, tho...it was driving just fine at that point...i went out later that day and as i was coming out of a parking lot, i drove thru a big dip in the parking lot right before this happened...i didn't hit anything but it was a rather large dip in the road...anyways, today when i start my rx the check engine light isn't flashing, it just stays on - and i can smell something funny from the exhaust...like it's too rich maybe...any ideas?

  6. how big a screen up front are you lookin' at? it's not super easy to find a spot to mount a monitor. i've seent hem mounted off to the side of the climate controls, closer to the passenger side but it's a bit akward. in japan, i've seen monitors mounted on top of the dash above the trip computer monitor...i considered that but since it's illegal to display moving images while driving (at least where i live at) and i sometimes have to park in shady neighborhoods, i decided against it. i also have a monitor for the back seat passengers and a 10 disc dvd changer in my 2000 rx... i kinda wish i had the 2001 or later rx with the nav option as i've seen that monitor converted to allow tv and other inputs to be displayed on it...er, i dunno if that helps you at all...

  7. i dunno about the rx330 but i installed the eibachs on my rx300...the ride is a little bit stiffer but not uncomfortible...and handles better too...i haven't notice any problems with my struts or poor tire wear...make sure you have an alignment done after you swap springs, tho...1.2" doesn't seem like a lot when you're just looking at the numbers but consider this, if the fender gap was 5" hypothetically, and you cut 1.2 from that, your gap is now 3.8" and that's a over a 20% drop...i think it looks much better with out that unsightly gap...other opinions may differ...it's not like it's a lowrider or anything...just sportier...

  8. i just took my rx300 to the dealership over the weekend and i mentioned to my new service manager about the small tear i had on my driver side seat. i've had that tear "repaired" twice under warrantee already. i'm now outside of the warrantee period but they're going to replace the leather on that side for me anyways. cool! the replacement leather's suppposed to be here next week sometime! woot woot...we'll see how it goes.

  9. depending on what code they tell you it is, it might be just a dirty MAF sensor...i had the same issue just recently...about the same mileage but i had the trd airfilter instead (i am told that k&n makes the trd one, tho)...anyways, the error code was like P0171 or something like that...bank one sensors? i don't remember...if that's the error code, it might be the O2 sensor or MAF. clean the MAF first before buying an O2 sensor...see if that fixes it. if not, good luck, man...hope that helps

  10. My Dealer thinks that 20X8.5 inch rims would be too big. What brand of rims did you get and why did you lowered 1.2"?

Air suspension option may be a good idea for that. I am told that Toyo Proxes S/T would be a better choice.

i have lsportline model IV 3pc rims. they are in a staggered offset and are direct bolt (NO SPACERS!) i don't remember what my offsets are but i got them from wheelexperts.com...here are some pics http://www.cardomain.com/id/strmrdr426 feel free to rate it ;) i lowered it to minimize on the gap btwn fender and wheel...

  11. i'm riding on 20 x 8.5 on michellin pilot sport a/s 245/40/20 and handling is a lot crisper but the tires are a lot noisier...this is on my rx300 that's lowered 1.2"...i saw in my jdm hyper rev mag (http://myautofashion.com/tohaklvrvvo.html) some rx330s on 20's with the tire size you were looking at and it looked like there was a lot of fender gap...that may have been because it was raise to the highest setting on the air suspension, tho...i can't read japanese that great ;)

  12. i had same issue...thought it might be o2 sensor but someone on one of these forums suggested it might be dirty maf sensor and have that cleaned first before shelling out for an o2 sensor...i just cleaned my maf over the weekend, seems to be fixed now...

  13. i've seen other vehicles with an after market back up camera added to it and i would imagine that since the nav monitor can be converted to accept a video signal that it should be possible. how much work it would entail is another question, tho.

  14. Autozone offers several different O2 sensors. They do offer the Bosch sensors, which are OE replacements....For around four bills a piece. They also carry Beck/Arnley sensors. These are right around $100 a piece. These are universal sensors that don't plug right in. You'd need to hack the connector off the OLD O2 sensor and wire it to the butt connectors on the new ones. The RX sensors have 4 wires each, and the Beck/Arnley puppies don't have wiring diagrams included. Be forewarned be4 you buy 'em if you DO wanna go that route. The wire colors do NOT match up.

i've found some parts places that carry O2 sensors by denso and they say it's OEM...the denso ones are cheaper by far compared to the bosch...have ya'll heard anything about these denso ones?

  15. anybody know where to get cheap parts? oem preferred...i gotta get an O2 sensor...my mechanic can get an aftermarket one for about $200...how reasonable is that? he suggest i also look on web for better prices so any help would be appreciated ;)

  16. i had a couple friends with tools do my springs (front and back)...they finished it in about 1.5hrs, i think...wasn't too difficult with all the air tools and heavy duty jacks...i did need an alignment done after, tho...not sure if that helps...
