So? Nobody has changed the system yet??

How do I get to the original sub? Do I have to remove the back seats first?

Just a guess: Pull the fuse and see, if the cd-changer ejects the discs.
You could also try to press the eject-button for a couple of seconds. (usually, this is the way to eject all discs at once)

Yes, it's definitely the daylight saving time-setting in the menu. I have to change it twice a year ;)

My '07-IS250 doesn't. Even the user-manual says:
"Changing shift ranges in S mode
Shift the shift lever to the S position and operate the shift lever or shift
paddle switch."

I did read something about the transmission programming being different for 09 but never actually found out what was done, if anything
I think it is possible to change gears manually using the paddels without changing the shift lever from D...

Hi!
I am experiencing vibrations on my steeingwheel ALWAYS when driving on rough surfaces. (17" rims) My dealer told me this seems to be normal. However, he lend me another IS250 for comparison - same result. Can this be true? Why am I driving a RWD-car when I still feel disturbances in the steeingwheel?

Hi!
Is there any additional audio settings-menu beside the "standard-menu"? (Nav/Mark Levinson)

Hi!
Does anyone have detailed informations how to remove the front door panels? (and how to get to the sub?)
Thanks a lot!

Did you "play" with the radio, nav etc.? It happens to me quite often wenn I use to play around and press the Start-Button a couple of times without starting the engine!
linn
Nope, foot on the brake, pressed the button, engine tried to start, and then died.
Even not after you stopped the engine the last time before??

To know the wattage is not enough, you have to know the sensitivity! (this gives the information, how loud a speaker plays - you can't say how fast a car goes if you know it has 200hp; if you don't know the sensitivity of each of the speakers, the result could be that e.g. the midrange plays much louder than before, but the bassrange much less - this will sound horrible, even if you installed the best speakers!)
The cheapest and easiest way to improve the sound would be to "hack" the DSP of the ML-System. The factory-setup is bad and the sound-options-menu influences the wrong frequencies
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A KIND OF "HIDDEN MENU" WHERE YOU CAN CHANGE MORE THAN THE STANDARD-SETTINGS?

I've got this option: If you are just a little kind of an audiophile: Forget it ;)
DIY will never work on the 2nd gen IS, there are too many speakers and nobody knows the sensitivity of them. (if you put just 14 good speakers that fit into the IS, it might sound even worse)

Anyone knows if any manufacturer offers speakers (or anything else that improves the sound) specially designed for the IS?

1st Row:
1) shade
2) headlightcleaner
3) windshield wiper de-icer
2nd Row:
1) fuel filler door
2) trunk opener
3) powerheater (IS220d)

I've had my '07 IS 250 in on at least 8 occasions for the numerous noises. I've had the TSIB's done on the center speaker, new dash clips as well as insulating the center stack. The noises are better but far from what I expect from a Lexus.
I just received a shipment from Sutherland Felt in MI who produces and supplies felt to the manufacturers with automotive grade pressure sensative adhesive. I got .35mm, .5mm, 1mm and 2mm thicknesses. They sell it by the yard at a reasonable price, between $10 - $20 per yard by 60".
My plan of attack is to put felt between the plastic pieces that make up the center stack. I've had to do this before in a 2002 Acura TL and when I was done you could head a fly breathe.
Fo owners of a non-nav IS, the loud "POP" from the center seems to be coming from the actual center vents and the visible trim piece.
Lexus should change their tag-line to be: "Lexus, the Pursuit of Mediocrity"
Oh - I feel with you :D Beside these noises, I've got the original 17"-Dunlop Tires on my IS250. They are really horrible loud on some surfaces. (especially rumple noise etc.)

I've used Lexol recently on my '07 IS250. (cleaner and conditioner)
It's really easy to use, the seats now look absolutely new again.

Does anyone have exact instructions, how to clean and care with Lexol?

...and the button for the selection of the left/right mirror has to be eighter in the middle or left/right (I don't know right now) - so the function can be switched off if desired.

Hello and welcome to the club.
There is of course the standard menu for adjusting the High, Medium and Bass levels.
Do you have the Auto Sound Leveling (ASL) feature on? This feature will increase the volume AND adjust the levels to compensate for noise when the vehicle is moving. You could try to turn this feature off and see if they helps.
Regards,
Of course I know the standard menu ^^
The ASL-Feature is ON. But it should make no difference as the problem is also when the vehicle is not moving.

Hi!
Does anyone know, if there is a hidden menu for the audio settings on the ML-System? I am not very pleased with the sound on my 2007-IS250. (at low volumes there is too less bass, on higher volumes there is - depending on the recording - much too much, that's very annoying)

PS: sorry for my english, it's not perfect

Hi!
I had the same issue with my 07 IS250 and its Dunlop-17"-Tires. I switched to Michelin-16"-tires. It's not much - but noticeable - more quiet in die cabin now. It's also a little bit more comfortable on uneven roads now.
