No problemo! :D :D Funny you should mention it... after I returned from the gym tonight, I got out and noticed a weird smell from under the hood... I think some wires or somethin are burning. Ugh...the problems never seem to end!! Gonna take a look at it tomorrow.

If anyone is following this "story", which is high unlikely... ill let you know whats happening. Its al good... its running kinda rough, surprisingly.... idles real low, and airbag light is on.. i replaced 2 circuit breakers, and many fuses.... no other damage, I hope. AFter the ECU is reset, does it usually run differently?

Ok. I replaced the 120A circuit breaker.... now it starts up and runs...idles very low, interior lights dont work, airbag light is on, cd player doesnt work (aftermarket, if probaly the fuse in the back, I hope). Also, the steering wheel doesnt adjust... what gives?

Let me explain better... I realized right after the battery sparked that I had installed it wrong... I flipped it around, correctly.... but it wouldnt start. I THEN jumped it off, but by that point the damage was done. I have traced it down to the 120A fuse/relay/thing, it was a SOB to get out... I'm just hoping somewhere has it in stock...

92 LS.... I dropped a wrench down in behind the battery, and I was gonna take it out to remove the wrech later. got it all back together.... now I realize the car wont start without a jump AND when it does run... NOTHING else works, no lights, no dash, my a/c, no cd player.. nothin. In the "heat" of the moment, I accidently reversed the + and - cables. It's raining outside and I quickly threw it together, thinking I knew which was the correct way. Turns out the SOB is backwards, hence my problem. I hope there is a "quick fix" for this....but I know it will be difficult. Help anyone? Yay... go me.

Well, as you can see he was using a Kicker comp series sub... pretty cheap, only like $80 I believe. Another sub thats on the same level, could be a MTX Thunder series sub (cheaper, I think...), or a JBL grand touring... I personally like Kicker the best, of those... the only other subs from another brand ive had were 2 13" JL W7s, and those are like $400s each. Ever think about just getting a 10" sub and stickin it in the truck?

Well forget #2 question about the 20"'s, I think I am just going to keep my current 19" setup. But anyone know of anything for my first question??

1. The first thing is kind of two issues in one....The temp guage never moves (even after shutdown), and the tach really never goes above 1k, but it does move. Is this going to be a sending unit problem, or is it just sticky? haha 2. Would a 20" rim w/ 255mm tires, and a 42mm offset fit on a 92LS? Any help would he more than greatly appreciated.... thanks! _Ian

Hey guys, I havent been on the forum in awhile... I had a 98 GS400 two years back (you can see pics in the gallery), and since then I have had a Vette, 300zx TT, F150, and a 5.0 foxbody Mustang.... but I have finally returned to my true home, a Lexus. I am looking at a 1992 LS400, 109k miles, full serivice (timing, belts, hoses) done at 65k miles, and the dash light problem was fixed at Lexus a year ago. Body is in good shape, minor scrathes from everyday driving. The front seats are pretty torn up though, as you can see in the pictures. Has Alpine CD/MP3 player, and Boston Acoustik speakers throughout. Spotless CarFax. They are throwing in some 19" rims with bald tires as well. What is a good price for me to pay for this car? By the wayi have a 1998 gs400 if that helps at all. Ive heard that lexus didnt start the whole running lights think til 99...whatever...i have the xenon headlamps as well. Thanks...

I just got new parking lights, installed them, but they wont come on. I replaced them because the other ones were not working either, i thought maybe they blew or something. The fuse is fine. Is there anything i can do?? Thanks in advance for your help. Ianslexus

Hey joe, I would HIGHLY recomend purchasing the gs300. I had a 98 lexus gs300 for 4 years, and it was the best car ive ever had. Drives great, great acceleration, looks awesome, just everything about this car the terrific. You can not go wrong with a gs300. But you said it came from a bankruptcy case?...Id be cautious, maybe take it to a mechanic and have him take a look at it, or better yet the Lexus dealership. The Gs300 is a great car all around. Hey everyone. I just had one quick question. i have a 98 gs400 with a borla catback system. I hate the tone that it makes though. I was wondering id is possible to take off the exsisting mufflers and add new ones. Second question...i want a muffler with a smooth powerful sound at an idle, but when i floor it...i want that baby to roar. kinda like a mustang cobra or somethin. i want it loud, but not annoying, but loud enough that everyone hears it. Thanks alot for your help.
