  1. My dealer suggested that I join this Lexus forum to see if I can find a common thread amongst other LS460 owners regarding seat vibration. Here is the deal. After the new car "glow" wore off, I began to notice a subtle, but real vibration in the driver seat. The same vibration also occurs in the passenger seat. I haven't tried the back seats. Anyway, it exists in my car. On my 4th trip back to the same dealer to have this problem fixed (the previous 3 tries resulted in a non-fix), the service manager finally told me that he knew exactly what I was talking about. He calls it a LS460 "characteristic". He does so because he feels the vibration in every LS460 he has sat in...however, there is no service bulletin that says it exists and here's the fix. Therefore in the eyes of Lexus, it doesn't exist. Have any of you noticed this subtle vibration...it's like a subtle "rolling" vibration from seat bottom to seat head rest. The vibration occurs when you are in drive and sitting at a stop (with "hold" on or just your foot on the brake). If you haven't noticed this, please do me a favor. The next time you find yourself sitting at a stop light, with your foot on the brake or "hold" and the car in drive, sit fully back in the seat and lean your head back against the head rest and relax. Do you feel a rolling, semi-subtle vibration throughout the seat? Even though the service manager at my dealer knew exactly what I was talking about, he says no one has complained. So why am I complaining? Because I feel it in my car and my expectation is to have no vibration in a $75k car. I also have a 1999 LS400...which I actually like more than the LS460. Anyway, my LS400 has no vibration whatsoever...anywhere. Please let me know what you think.
