  1. please somebody post a photo of country selection screen. i have screwed my nav also, and i cant remember exactly what selection i have made there. I have GX 470 2004. Thanks in advance!
  2. YES, that would definetly help. Maybe somebody with not screwed NAVI can post screen foto from country selection screen? Big thanks in advance.
  3. Actualy i think IT remembers those settings i have choose in some kind of flash memory ... the point is to have/get system to be in state just as after manufacturing ... before any data has been loaded.
  4. Actualy if we are talking in terms of computers, that im looking for "CLEAR BIOS jumper" .... that erases all my stupid setiings and sets them to "factory dafault" ... like copmputer BIOS passwd etc .... In this NAV case i need to erase my region settings and whatever else ... :/ just to have clean system that would boot from any given media.
  5. Yes, as i wrote before, now its waiting for that region disk what i have selected, BUT if i could TOTALY RESET UNIT, kinda NO SELECTION has been made and in that case it should accept (i guess) any disk or it should ask what to do .... maybe there is some kind of special disk to erase my settings or to resatore factory default or whatever ...
  6. I agree on that idea .. but! if i could totaly RESET the unit, that it doesnt remember what settings i choose, then i should be able to load ANY region disc ... i guess :) Actualy i thik that i should try to keep unit without battery for longer time ... maybe boards memory survived longer without battery than just a few mins because of capacitors onboard that could keep memory for longer ... maybe i should short circut capacitors to unload them faster ... of course all this should be done with disconnected battery ...
  7. I dont know ... actualy i do not belive that you can screw your NAV totaly by just pressing wrong buttons :( I think there shoud be some maybe special DVD disc to revive from this situation. Any ideas are welcome. :/
  8. Actualy i did almost as you wrote ... except, that i have removed battery inside NAV ECU .... and i didnt help to get rid of "message of death" .... wrong disc etc .... :((((((((( Any more ideas?
  9. This info came bit late for me :( I have tried to switch to european countries in secret menu ... Now i have tried almost everything ... nothing helps to get rid of this Japanes/English message complaining about wrong disc .... I have also disassembled whole NAV unit and tried removing bettery, because i didnt had reset switch ... Nothing helps ... any more "bright" ideas? BTW i cannot get to that "secret" menu anymore ... 1/2 secret service menu says that NAV is NCon ... not connected i guess... when i phisicaly remove NAV it also dissappears from service menu, but when i put it back, it sees it but still NCON ... :( help help help ....
