When you say noisy, what kind of noise does it make? Knock, tap, rattle, ??? My DIL's '99 RX with 140k+ mi. is quiet as can be. What kind of oil filter have you been using on it? (brand)

Does anyone notice that the RX 330 engine idle is noiser at 70K miles than it used to be like when it was brand new? Compared it to the wifey's 2010 Highlander, the Lexus is noiser. Any suggestions on what I could have the local mechanic to look at to reduce the idiling noise. Thanks.

HI, I have a 9 year old kicker in the family who has kicked out the rear lower panel of the front passenger's seat. I was hoping someone could look at the attached picture and suggest how to fix it. Going to the dealer is not an option. A guy on craigslist wanted a 150 to fix it which I think is a bit steep. Does anyone know how the lower panel is attached (glued, sewen on, etc.) and let me know if the is DIY repair. Many thanks.

Hi, I have a 2004 RX 330. Recently, when I turn on the heat (not defroster), I get this burning, smelly smell for the first couple of minutes when the heater is running. After the heater runs for a few minutes, the smell disappears. Anyone have experience with this and a solution. My local guy thinks it may be time to replace the cabin filter but not sure. Thanks. Club Members, Any thoughts on whether you recommend dumping the "white glove" Lexus service (and high flying labour rates) and turning over repair and maintenance to my local garage? My local guy claims he has done Lexus, Bmers etc but I am not sure I should turn over my fine automobile to him. I know there are DIY guys in the club so maybe some work can be done outside the dealer. No offensive to any make but if it was a Ford or Chev, I would not hesitate but Lexus equipment and electronics are pretty sophisticated. Many Thanks.

Greetings, I have a 2004 RX330 sport with the hardly used height adjustment. It is stuck on N but the light below is flashing "Off". I would guess that means the height adjustment is off. But is there a mechanical issue here? How do I turn off the flashing light? I would look it up in the manual but I misplaced it after reading it so much. Thanks.
