Yes I got an aftermarket install kit (mounting bracket) and I don't know howto take apart the original one. Send me your email address and I'll email you all the steps I took to do my stereo install. Nevermind I got it. I emailed the steps to ya. I can't figure out why the lights don't work on my speedometer now? Do you know what my problem might be? Was there a dimmer switch going into my stereo that I need to run power to my aftermarket? The lights aren't on on my shift knob or my lighter either.

Although, the factory head unit is pretty much known to have alot of troubles with the cd mechanism. I can't tell you how many posts there are in here with cd player problems. So, I tell you like I tell them all, 1- pull it out and fix it, it may keep happening though. There doesn't seem to be any trick to fixing them. 2- If you really want stock, buy a another stock unit. You can get them on ebay, I think bartkat here in the LOC sells em. I have a barely used one for sale. 3-Go aftermarket.

Hey I have a problem getting CDs to read on the IS300. It just flashes orange 3 times and doesn't do anything other than make some grunting noises. It doesn't seem to ever go green/ rarely go green. Does that unplugging the battery for 20 mins fix work? Do I need to take this to the dealer or can I fix this myself?
