  1. Thanks for the info(and congrats on quitting). I'm lucky that it seems like a pretty small burn and not really a hole. I'll try the goof off and see what it does. Do you know what kind of carpet paint you used?
  2. :chairshot: For the longest time I didnt know why they put ashtrays in such nice cars. As for a product, well if its just the color that has been affected then some goof off may take it out, dont use too much and clean it up with a clean damp rag after. Of course there is always the safer alternative of not smoking in your car and you'll never have to ever worry about this ever again, but what do I know, I'm only 22. Goof off? I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks! And you are right, the safest way is not to smoke.
  3. Sorry, don't know if this is the proper place to be posting. If a Mod could move it to wherever it needs to be I'd appreciate it. Thanks, DB
  4. Hey all, First post here and unfortunately its something I wish I didn't have to ask. I have a 2007 IS 250, got it about a month ago. This weekend I had a BBQ and was showing some of my friends the car. A friend of mine was sitting in the drivers seat looking around, smoking a cigarette. I occasionally smoke in the car but I try to be as careful as possible. We'll my friend burned a little portion of the cloth/leather (I don't know exactly what material) that is between the driver's side door and the windshield. It is that little strip in between the two. I attached a pic, they aren't great quality (camera phone) but it'll give a general idea of what I'm talking about. So now I need everyones helps: 1) What are the ways I can get this fixed? There really isn't a whole but more just the darker burnt color. I'd like to at least cover it up bc I have to see it when I'm driving and its really bugging me! 2) Are there any products I could use to protect that area from another silly accident? Thanks in advance! DB
