  1. 1999 ES300: Borbet type FS 18"x7.5 with Goodyear Eagle F1's 225/40ZR18. I took out the stock rims and put these in, no rubbing unless i have heavy people in the back and hit a pothole or a ditch. I didn't need spacers and i wish i put 19" rims since i'd fit perfectly. Ninja Edit: By heavy i mean 3x 170lb+ people in the back.
  2. I'm pretty sure it will as my 98 ES300 fit 225/40ZR18 - 45mm offset perfectly fine.
  3. It's about right, my 99 goes to 3k @ 80mph
  4. Kneel on the back seat facing towards the speaker cover, squeeze both sides of the cover and pull on it, try that and lut us know.
  5. Here are some pics too, the car is a bit dirty, but i'll wash it tomorrow :)
  6. An update for those interested, tires+wheels fit perfectly fine without any mods, and now that i look at it closely i would have gone larger and wider.
  7. Nope, just take it off and put the new one, make sure you get the right one though.
  8. I made a purchase today that i might regret when i receive it, and i was stupid enough to purchase without knowing for sure if it would fit. I did the research here and i know there are tons of topics about this subject but i'm still uncertain of how it's going to be when i get the wheels+tires. What i got was Borbet type FS 18"x7.5 wheels (+45 offset) and Goodyear Eagle F1's 225/40ZR18 (section width= 9.1)--the guy from tirerack told me i'll have problems, but most topics here appear to tell a different tale, that the tires will fit. I'm wondering if i'm gonna be kicking myself an a couple of days, or i'll be ok with what i bought. Thanks for the help, and sorry for posting another thread about this.
  9. Thank you mburnickas, i did search and found the same rotors in some other post, but they didn't mention if they bought it or if it was a good choice or anything of that sort. I wanted to know exacly what you said, and experienced. Expensive rotors don't make much difference? So i guess taking it to the toyota dealer would be my best bet?
  10. Hello lexus fans--i'm looking for quality opinion and i'm hoping to find some here. First off let me introduce myself, my name is Phil and i live in Florida; i purchased my first car in aug. 12 (my 21st birthday) as a gift for myself and i got very lucky with this gift. I bought my 99 ES300 from a old couple that lived close to me for $10k, the car is semi-new with 24k original miles, no dents, no dins, no rust, no scratches. It's beige with a darker beige lower bumper color, very clean and well taken care of beige interior as well. I really enjoy this car but recently i started hearing the brake squeaking and after 8 years i think it's about time to change the front rotors and brake pads. Although i could take it to Midas, Firestone, Tire Kingdom, etc, i would rather get some opinions here on a few things before i go out and spend $$$ on things i don't know. I'm looking to get really good rotors + pads for my es 300 and i'm wondering which would be best, i don't mind pricey parts and i think i found the rotors i want. http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/brembo-br...exus-es300.html I'm undecided between the drilled or the slotted, any ideas which one would be better? Also, i don't know any good brake pads brand to go along with brembo and every time i ask a friend, they come up with some brand i've never heard of. Forgive the novel-like post, i appreciate the help.
