well, put in the new TPS, set it like I suppose to, but now it will only idle at 200 or less rpm. CEL is constanly on. I guess I have to start all over.

went and bought a new TPS, it will be here the 28th. I let you all know if it fixed the problem. thanks for the help again , this is an awsome forum.

well, finally had some time to work on it. Found some vacum lines split, and I finally was able to pull the code, the dreaded code 41. I ordered my new TPS from newlexusparts, pretty reasonable only 75 and few bucks shipping, will be here the 28th. I keep you all informed about the problem..Again thanks for the help

I have a problem with my 93 ls400, 135k miles I recently replaced the MAF and the TPS, drove the car around for a while and it worked fine. The next day I tried to drive it, let it warm up and when I came back outside the CEL was on and the car was idling real low. I pulled the code and it was a 41 which is the TPS signal. I was wondering if it can happen where when you first start your car and it idles fine, but then when it warms up the TPS goes bad. I did go the wrong route in purchasing the TPS, I went to a lexus junk yard and bought it, could have been on its last leg.

Thanks, no the fuel filter has not been changed. I will change it this weekend.

I know that part, but the flashes are constant, there is no pause between, it just keeps flashing at a steady pace.

i pulled the code by putting a jumper on the odb1 underneath the drivers knees, then the engine light constantly flashes

HI, I am new to the forum, I have a 93 LS 400 with 135k miles on it. The car will not crank and the engine light is on. I pull the code and it is constantly flashing. Don't know what that means. Anybody out there that has the same problem. Also car will not stay started.
