  1. I would like to replace my rear shocks (LS400). It looks to me like tirerack has the best price for the KYB GR-2 ($66 each). Does anybody recomend a different shock? Or know of a better price on the net? Also, does anybody have any suggestions for replacing the rear springs? thx, Lee
  2. I just replaced my a/c compressor on a 90 LS400. I think I found a great place on the net to buy it, so I wanted to share the info. I paid $630 for an oem DENSO compressor with clutch. I also got the reciever-dryer for $27. 3. I've been told by a lexus trained mechanic that I need to replace a rear bearing. Has anybody ever had this done? There is an every so slight vibration, is this what a rear bearing going out is like. I have 136k miles on the car. If anybody has had to replace a rear bearing, I would like to know the milage you did it at. Also, how did you know it needed to be replaced? Where did you get your parts? How much $$$ damage did it hit you for.
  4. I just replaced the tires that were on my ls400 when I bought it (goodyear eagle GA V-rated). I have only had the tires on for two days, but I do love them. I recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE950. They are H speed rated tires, but I notice only an improvement in handling (no degredation). I bought my tires at tirerack.com
