  1. The problem turns out to be the A/C clutch which is blowing the fuse. It's unknown as to whether or not the compressor needs replacement.
  2. Help! It's hot! Thursday, on a 120 mile drive home, the A/C stopped. Made appt with dealer for repair, checked fuse...it was blown. So I replaced the fuse on Friday and voile, A/C is working great. Cancelled Saturday AM appt with dealer. Saturday afternoon, BAM...A/C stopped - blown fuse again. No biggie, I have a box of them now, so I replace it. This time, the fuse blew as soon as I turned on the engine. A/C has traditionally run fine EXCEPT, about a month ago, the compressor started making a noise, but the dealer said it was no big deal. Is it the compressor or could it be something less expensive????
  3. It's ironic, but I have the exact same problem and searched to find an owner's forum...AND this issue was right on top. So, I joined the group! I have the same problem with a '97 ES300 and it's not going away. The dealer has replaced the starter and the battery. But after driving along and stopping (say for gas), it will often not restart the first time IF it hasn't been long since it was shut off. In addition, when I start it normally, the start-up just seems "weak". Any ideas??
