  1. I am on Cape Cod, and it IS plenty cold today! The rattle is happening like CRAZY! DB
  2. Thanks. Yes, dealer will, but not within my radius. Only about 25 or 50 miles, I forget. I am 90 miles. I guess my biggest fear is that they will say it is fixed and then it won't be and then I'll just be going back and forth and losing work and the ability to make the payments :))) DB
  3. Me again.... I too, have trouble distinguishing if the rattle is from inside the rear door, or inside the B pillar. It is definitely from the right side, though :) My right ear is a bit deaf which makes it harder to determine the exact location :( I am going to try the "lexus logo" area and push down and see if that is it. I bought the car in cold weather, and it may have gotten worse as the weather gets a little colder. If my dealer was closer, is 90 miles away, I would have already solved this or decided to trade the car in. I have had Corolla's and Avalon's with NO rattles, and I certainly expect the same from my new Lexus! So, I will continue to keep you all updated so that we can get a clear handle on this on move along... Thanks, DB
  4. I added to a previous thread about a similiar topic. Truth is, my rattle in 2004 es330 seems to also be coming from the panel in between the front and rear doors, especially on the right side. I really do not want the dealer to tear apart my new baby, but I also really do want the rattle fixed. I am interested in any information about this. DB
  5. Well, it is good to know I am not alone :) I will keep you folks updated as to what happens when I visit the dealer. Funny, this is why I did not buy a Passat or an Acura TL! Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to learnign and sharing about these cars! I had some driving to do in the rain and at night, and boy, the car is such a pleasure to drive in such conditions. DB
  6. Hi, Newbie here. Just got a 2004 Lexus 330 and the rear door rattle is making me crazy. My 2000 Avalon never had this. I am amazed to see it is somewhat common. And happy at the same time because maybe that means they will know how to fix it. <_< Seems to happen more over small bumps, and not on smooth roads. Does anyone esle see the irony in this in that it appears to be SOUND INSULATION that is causing the rattle??? Gees, if it was happening to someone else, I would still be laughing!!! :D My dealer is far away and inconvenient and I will make exactly one trip to get this fixed. Well, if it was not for this, (and some other stuff, minor, except for some slight hesitation at low speeds ::Always seems to be when I need it least, though.) I would actually like the car. So, I am hoping I got a good car as it was a big step for me. And, I am happy I found this board as you all seem to be excellent. Pleasure to be aboard, David Bell
