  1. I had some pics, I'll try and post them for you guys when i get home.
  2. i was going to do the contacts (cus i heard that fixes the problem most of the time), but Leuxs had to order them. And then i found a factory by me that Remanufacutres Starters so i picked one up for $79(with 1 year warranty). Easy install. For those who dont know, the starter is located on the driver side. If you look from under the hood it is right behind the Trasmission Dip Stick. MAKE SURE TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU WORK ON THE STARTER! Then you just (1) Undo one Electical Clip on the starter, (2) Undo a nut which holds the power Cable on the starter, (3) Undo the Two bolts which mounts the starter then it pops off. To get more room undo the bolt which holds the transmission dip stick in place. This is for the GS300 98-up

  4. I have the same problem. I will turn the key, and i get a single click noise, then i have to try a couple more times before the starter will kick in and turn the car on. Sometimes it will get stuck and keep trying to start the car over and over. also it will sometimes not disengage and u hear a clicking noise (actually more like a ticking). So does that sound like sometime replacing the contacts would fix? Also does anyone have the repair manual for repalcing the starter?
  5. Here is some info about the 1998 GS300 connections into the Factory radio. They seem to be the same as the Toyota Avalon 1995 - 2001 and many other models. If anyone can verify this let me know. If i find any new information will post and let you know. Thanks!

  7. Hi, i just got a BT car kit. It says it connects to an ISO connector (or can be wired in). Does the lexus GS300 1998 have this ISO connector for the stock radio (i dont think it does)? Or is there a place where i can get kit for this car to convert the standard plugs to ISO? Or where can i get an EXTENDER kit for the standard wiring (that way i can cut it and use the Female and Male ends to make my own harness. The main concern is i dont want to cut into my stock harness so i need to find some adpater or extention to get this working. Here is a link to the kit: http://www.hb-direct.com/EN/P_94.html Data sheet: http://www.hb-direct.com/pdf/DOC_EN_BL-600.pdf Thanks for the help!
