  1. I updated my 2002 RX300 two weeks ago, and I still have to tap "I agree" and I cannot operate the navigation after 3 miles an hour. I live in West Los Angeles. Maybe I need to drive to Riverside to have my car serviced. I paid $250 for the DVD here on this website from an authorized dealer in Wisconsin who is on this website. Angie
  2. I got a remote key from Tami and programmed it myself. I costs $130. That includes cutting. So when you get the key, you just have to program it with your master key. Angie
  3. I bought an additional key for my 2003 RX300 from a company that advertises on this website and also came recommended by someone on this forum. I spoke to Tami. They don't have an 800 number. Her number is 740-546-4700. I paid $130 for a key w/transponder. That includes the cutting of the key. So I just had to program it. And I also paid $30 for just a key w/out the keyless entry transponder. I downloaded the instructions for programming the key. It was kind of tricky at first, but then I got it. Whatever you do don't buy just the shell and take it to a shop to cut. Some people don't know how to cut the keys. So then you've wasted your money on the shell. Also, when I called a locksmith about cutting they key, they wanted to charge $50 and up, and they wouldn't guarantee it. Oh, yes, Tami cuts the keys for $15 if you give her the key. She also charges another $15 to get the key code. But if you go to the dealership yourself, you can get the key code for free just by giving them your car registration so that they can run the VIN number. Angie
  4. I bought a used hitch from someone who sold their RX300. It's by Hidden Hitch. It is very nice. It took the guy 10 minutes to put it on. Hidden Hitch is very nice. I like it better than the factory one that comes with the RX300. Angie
  5. I bought some keys online from East Coast locksmith for my 2003 RX300. 740-546-4700. I just checked their website and they say you have to go to the dealership for your model car. Key Programming You can not program this key yourself. You will need to take your car and key to either the dealer or to a local locksmith that has the Lexus programming software. 6. The window on my 2002 RX300 will not go up now. I went to the dealership here in Santa Monica, California, and they told me the motor went out. the motor is $500 and the labor he said will be around $200. Has this ever happened to anyone? Do you know a way I can get it replaced for a lot cheaper? Thanks, Angie
  7. I just bought my BF Goodrich tires from Costco in Marina del Rey here in Southern California for my RX300. Costco now has a special of $60 off a set of four Michelin tires until September 2nd. I went on line and specially ordered my tires from Costco.com. They notify you when they come in, which is only 3 to 5 days. The tires for the Lexus trucks run from $93 to $200 each. Costco has more of a selection on-line. At the store they only had two types for my truck. They cost $145 and $175. Those were the Michelins. That's not including the additional discount for 4. The mounting and balancing is $10 per tire. They told me to bring the car back after 25 miles to tighten the lugs. Costco tires come with a 50,000-mile warranty and free tire repair if you should get a nail in your tire. Angie
  8. Does anyone know if it is possible to add a navi system that will integrate directly with the existing setup? To use the system as if it were factory installed? You can not add navigation. I asked about that. It's better to buy a portable one. With the portable ones, you can go online and update the maps at no cost. With the built-in navigation, you must buy the DVD for $350. Angie
  9. I went onto the website of keyntob.com and left my info. John called me back and said the key with remote is $99. Just all I have to do is have an automotive locksmith cut the key and I have to program it with my other master key. Their toll free number is 866-539-6362. Angie
  10. I just bought a 2003 RX300 from an auto broker. He only gave me a master key and a security key. I called my local Lexus dealership here in Los Angeles, California and they told me a master key is $287 and a valet key is $95. So if you find it a lot cheaper, let me know. Angie
  11. I just bought a 2003 Lexus RX300 with 55,000 miles from a broker two weeks ago. It didn't come with an extended warranty, but he said it just had a major service. I was thinking of buying an extended warranty to 100,000. Can you recommend anyone? I also live in Los Angeles. Thanks, Angie angie7824@aol.com
