I'm wondering if this is the popular strut problem I have been hearing about. Every time I take off from a complete stop, I hear a pop from underneath my car. It sounds like it may be coming from my front right wheel but it's hard to pinpoint. I've lost my trust to the shops around here a long time ago so I'd like to know a little bit about what I might be getting into before taking it in.

I've asked my local Lexus parts dealer how much they wanted for a replacement for this panel - the one with the trunk and fuel door release buttons and the interior light dimmer knob - and they quoted me $120! I've spent hours on the 'net trying to find this part but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have a good resource or happen to know the part number? I have a '98 ES300.

You can get a replacement for like $8 from a parts dealer. It's easy to replace it. Just pop it in.
