The rear tailgate door does not have safety lock. You need to press unlock twice quickly to unlock the rear hatch, then squeeze the latch hidden right above the license plate as you lift the hatch.

Those wood overlays are just thick plastic/vinyl stickers that goes on the front of the steering wheel. The back of the steering wheel isn't covered. In my opinion, it is a waste of money because 1) it doesn't look good; 2) it makes wheel uncomfortable to hold; 3) it can come off after a hot day under the sun.
