  1. Hi,

I opened a thread in LOC-UK about the OEM rims. I want to know what they are called or who manufactures them...? LINK

What we know by now is:

There is a sign saying "JIL" on the outside: Japanese Institute of Labour???

They are made in Japan. Thats what MattC is saying...

But who does them? What is the marking of these alloys?

Me thinks its YHI International Limited. And there you go for ENKEI, OZ or Advanti.

    They manufacture about 1.2mio rims/year

    YHI International Limited: LINK

And by comparing the wheels YHI does, our OEM 5Spoke is more likely a Advanti wheel: LINK

Advanti has several rims which look nearly like the our OEM:

    Cardiac:

Could this be true? Our 17INCH oem is manufactured by Advanti?

    What do you think/know?

  2. Go for TRD Shortshifter. This knob is delivered with it:

You can find this knob on ebay often. It replaces the chrome knob very well. I have it.

But the OEM knob IS CULT!!

Perhaps if you like and your chrome knob is unscratched we could swap....

  3. Thanks for fast reply.

So this spoiler is not OEM?

I asked because if it has a Lexus part number it would be much easier to get it road legal here in Germany. However there will be a problem with the break light. It must have a E-mark engraved into it to ensure the light confirms international standarts.

    It's a pain in the .... :geek:

  4. Sometimes electronic emissions disturbe the keyfob while sending (jamming).

Somtimes the car have to learn the key again.

Here is the procedure to do this:

you could try to reprogram the remote. The procedure is as follows:

1). With driver's door open put programmed key into ignition, do not turn, then remove it.

    2). Within 40 seconds:

Press LOCK and then UNLOCK on driver's door switch 5 times at 1 second intervals.

    Close and open driver's door.

    3). Within 40 seconds:

Press LOCK and then UNLOCK on driver's door switch 5 times at 1 second intervals.

Insert key into ignition and switch ON and OFF:

    once to keep original remotes,

    twice to erase original remotes.

    Remove key from ignition.

System will now lock and unlock:

    once if originals kept,

    twice if originals erased.

    4). Within 40 seconds:

Press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds.

Within 3 seconds press any button on remote for 1 second.

Locks should then lock and unlock once.

If locks lock and unlock twice restart procedure.

    5). Within 40 seconds:

Repeat step 4 for additional remotes up to a maximum of 4.

To exit programming insert key into ignition or close driver's door.

Will be funny. But perhaps it works.

    Cheers,

    Andi from Germany ;)

  5. Yeah thanks to no help from any information online or this forum, I figured out how to take out the sterio with my boyfriend. Just wanted to thank you guys for all your help. <_<

Have a look into the UK-Forums. There are much more Lex IS-drivers. Do a search on "radio + removal" or look into maintenance/work shop.

But you already did it :)

  6. Danke Mat :D matto-dai-taabo-san

That's the info I searched for. But the TRDs are very expensive I think.

Funny thing: In Germany you cannot buy Eibach-Sways from Eibach. You have to buy them from TTE. Very, very expensive.

So I'll look for TRD and Hotchkis. The price (and shipping/tax) will make the decision.

  7. I know this site very well. That's why I want the Hotchkis. ;)

But will they fit under my EURO IS200 sport? What if I buy them and they won't fit? I have to be sure, otherwise they will become very expensive.

dis is very cool english :P hihi

  8. Hi, I'm from Germany and driving an '99 IS200 Sport. I'm searching for a set of SwayBars, Anti-Roll-Kit.

I wonder if the sways of the US IS300 are the same as on my euro-IS. So i would be very happy, if somebody can post me the part-numbers of the US-IS-Sways, so that i would be able to compare them.

If they have the same numbers i would go for a set of Hotchkis-Sways. What do you think about this choise?
