u sure? he said he didn't have this noise till AFTER he jump started the car. so since he owned the car before and it didnt do it i would think otherwise....maybe he could record the noise or make a video and load it on here so we all can see! I will try to do that. Thanks.

I don't have one in my car. I brought the car used. I would assume that if the previous owner put a detector in there it should be visible, right? Do people conceal them? If so where would it most likely be? Thanks.

1994 GS 300 with approximately 197000 miles. Loud beep (single, lasts about 3 seconds) when I start the car. As soon as the car starts the car goes beeeeeeeep. It is loud!. I checked the sunroof and that's not it. This is a single loud beep. I suspect whether this has something to do with jumpstarting this car a week ago. The battery was drained and I had to jumpstart it using my other car battery as the source. I haven't noticed anthing unusual about the car so far except for the beep. The beep happens every time I start the car and it began after I jumpstarted the car. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks.

1994 Lexus GS 300 with 198000 miles. Hi, I had posted a couple of my questions here earlier. I had problems with my Kenwood in-trunk CD player earlier, and I could not find a solution. So, the car battery was changed 3 days ago. The CD player and changer started working flawlessly ever since. Now I have a new problem. The airbag light stays on even when my car is moving. I live in Las Vegas and my car is there, but I am in Tucson for the summer. My brother let me know about this. He also mentioned that it does not blink. Any ideas whether this could be related to the recent battery change? If so, any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks, Denny.

Hi, I have a 1994 Lexus GS 300.It has about 188,000 miles on it. I have two questions. 1) I had a look at the engine coolant reservoir and I could see that the coolant is almost at the low line. I read through the forums, and I could see that there is a red coolant recommended by Toyota. I am not sure if I have a green one or red right now. Besides that the maintenance manual specifies that the car needs an ethylene glycol based coolant. I was in a store today, they had all kinds of cooants there. Most of them contains ethlyene-glycol in the "contains' list in fine print. Is there a specific brand I have to use? And then, can I add the coolant, to what is already in there or do I have to drain it first (I have no idea how to do that). 2) My car does not have any problems so far. But I have no idea what kind of regular services I have to do for the car at this point (I just brought the car 4 months ago, its my first car). Do I have to do the maintenance if needed at a Lexus dealer necessarily? Thanks guys.

hi there, To begin with this is an awesome forum...I just joined it and this is my first post. Today i was driving to work and i was playing my CD and everything was fine i had 10 cd s (the CD changer is in the trunk and the CD display unit and controller is on the top left corner of the windshield) in there no problems to the changer and the sound. I have a 1994 lexus GS 300 with 187000 miles on it. So the car sits in the sun for 6 hrs outside temp was 98 F when i got back in the car and i start the car but the display sensor for the CD changer dosent come on when i press the power button . Radio works fine. It is a kenwood KDC 512FM.i waited for a couple of hours after getting home but the sensor dosent work. i tried to switch it on using the remote with no success. The CD magazine ejects without trouble. i am a music lover and its pretty depressing when the thing simply went out .please do help me out if possible . Thanks for your time .
