  1. I think when I first got the car I experience the same thing. Now come to think of it, the problem kind of goes away. Maybe it's a break-in thing?
  2. tex2670, Yes, I have seen a similar result as you did. The system is telling me that my MPG is about 1-1.5mpg more than my actual MPG. When I had my Acura TSX, their system's MPG is only about 0.2-0.5mpg higher than the actual MPG. No biggie, but maybe my tires are too inflated?! Andy
  3. And did you look at your "Tank Avg" or "Avg"? Have you reset them? Did you actually measure the true MPG? Read your OD and see how much gas you have to pump. So, "OD Reading after refuel"/Gallon refueled; that will get your actual MPG Andy
  4. Hum, after my 2nd tank, I average about 29mpg on my freeway and about 26 when mix w/ 40% local and 60% freeway. I drive about 60-75 on freeway, and the locals are just locals... I assume you are using prem. gas?! Andy
  5. That happens with my 06 TSX as well. I usually just give a huge whack on that part of area :chairshot: And, of course, after a while, that doesn't work anymore. So, yeah, it's pretty hard to spot that little noise, especially on the passenger side. Andy
  6. Well, I'm driving in LA traffic as well, but the opposite direction. I'm going east bound/out of LA so the traffic ain't too bad. Maybe I will just wait out after my first 700 miles and check on my mpg afterward. <_< As of yesterday, after I drove more than 300 miles, the dash says I'm averaging 22.4 miles. And that's very light on the gas paddle, but I'm trying to be easy during the break-in period after reading posts. Even my GS400 gets 24miles after 6 years of driving, so the new IS concerns me a bit. Andy
  7. Well, this is my 2nd Lexus; so I'm a happy owner! I just want to find out why I'm not getting the mpg....the search continues. So, I need to keep my speed within 75mph yet, don't use cruise control. So, I can drive whatever style, as long as it doesn't get too max out?! Andy
  8. By no way I am taking TSX over IS250! IS250 is such a beauty and a great ride all together. I will try to keep my speed down for the next week or so for the car to break-in. But why should I avoid cruise control?! Maybe after I refuel the car that I can see some difference?! Thanks!
  9. I am a relative new IS250 owner. I got my new car on Friday night! I know there's similar post fir IS350 and I don't want to hi-jack others' message. I drove about 220 miles and about 80% are on freeway. I don't think I drive aggressively. I don't drive hard and top speed about 75mile. Now, according to my display on the dash board, it shows that I only get 18.8mpg so far. Even those freeway miles are very smooth, not stop and go at all. When I was driving with my previous Accura TSX to work, I get about 30mpg. What gives? Is it because the dealer didn't fill the tank w/ 91? How can I use my navi to check the drive status? Thanks! Andy
