  1. I have engine ECU for 1996 LS that I don't need anymore. I upgraded its software to fix idling, jerking and so on issues. Its in very good cosmetic and working condition right now and it is came from california model (upgraded to all states model). If anybody interested PM or it will go on ebay. Thanx

    ????? did i miss something?

  2. My 92 LS starts up and runs smooth and idles perfectly, but it has no acceleration power and wont go much over 70 MPH. No check engine lite or obvious malfunctions under the hood. I heard weak battery can affect performance so tried a new one and no improvement. I also checked exhaust flow and all good there. HELP!

a couple things come to mind. air filter, fuel filter, injector cleaner and maybe fuel pressure regulator. those are the items i would look into first

  3. ok, heres the deal my 92 ls400 i bought came from the factory with air ride but was converted to OEM shock/spring. well im putting oem air ride back in it and i need to know where the compressors are and where the air lines hook up to on the air struts so i can see if they just pulled the struts and disconnected sensors or removed everything in the system. i just got done pulling the back seat and there was a connector on top of the rear strut...... anyways any pics or links would be greatly appreciated i searched and frustratingly enough could not find anything. thanks in advance.

Hey good luck! I usually hear people trying to get rid off them, not put them back. I have a 95 LS with air Sus; I'm very close to getting rid off it. The rear drive side is sagging down. Why are you going back and did you find a good deal on the Air suspension struts?

yeah, i found a good deal on the struts thats why i want to go back to air ride. i want to have it slammed while parked and normal ride height while driving. besides i can get new struts for about 200 a piece which isnt bad when you consider what dealer struts cost.

  5. Guy wants to trade me my 156K 96 Suburban for his dead dads 96k 92 LS400. Looked at it and found a few things not mentioned: front right fender and bumper scraped (he ran it into something at a very low speed and shallow angle , probably bounced off but fender slightly dented and bumper cover has 8 by 8 inch scuff down to primer and about a 1/2 inch deflection of sheetmetal) R as in Reverse light on trans indicator goes on when you brake (is this a hidden indicator of low brake pads or something?) Also there is a indicator that looks like a car with its rear lights accented deep in the middle of the cluster, yellow in color. I looked at the taillights and they all seem to work, didnt check brake lights. No CD player. White in color and has the cheesy wheel covers with silver accents (oxidized bright trim pieces, paint looks ok). I didnt check if it had air suspension, but the rear seemed pretty soft. I went over a few speed bumps at about 3 mph and the rear seemed to bottom out ever so gently, normal? (oh forgot, he did have a hardwood dresser back there) I didnt ask if the timimg belt had been changed but he had a 1 inch thick folder of maintenance receipts. My Suburban is perfect except typical 90's clear coat paint cancer, some stainless trim pieces that have shopping cart dents and it goes through about 1L of water a month, dont know where it is going, doesnt bother me, never gets hot. Should I investigate further or keep looking? I just want out of a 10MPG truck. He has 4 kids and wants a straight across trade. pishta68@hotmail.com. Im going to make a decision by 7-13 if possible.

id look else where. these cars arent cheap to fix

  6. hey guys, new to the forum and am researching getting a 93-94 lexus ls400. i was wondering if anyone has ever run a switch to be able to control when they want the compressor to come on/vent a relief valve to be able to lower and raise the car at will. thanks
