  1. Recently I sent my cluster to Lextech to get my cluster needles replaced because they did not work. I put the cluster in a box with newspaper and bubble wrap and when I got the cluster back from Lextech one of the pieces that hold the screw to get fastened to the car broke off and it also broke off a piece that hold the traction control bulb in place. Before I mailed the cluster all of my backlights worked perfectly but when I got it back a lot of them were dim and my temperature guage and RPM guage droped down lower then they are supposed to be. FedEx threw the package or something because the corner of the box where the piece that broke off the cluster, is dented in and the piece was in the box. I just want to let people know to put more padding in the box if they ever send in a cluster or get insurance for it.
  2. I would send it to LexTech but I have a lot of stuff to fix on the SC and not a lot of money, I would try to fix it myself but now that you guys said it might throw the needles off I would not want to make the situation worst. Thanks for the information.
  3. relax there all I said was that thats what I have heared you dont have to get smart right away.
  4. I have the same problem. I was thinking about sending it to http://www.lextech.org they fix it for $100 but I heard the needles burn out after a short time and JIBBY told me that it is possible to fix it by yourself by sothering LED's to the needles so im gonna try that instead.
  5. Do the motors make a sound when you use the adjustment bottons?
  6. thanks a lot for those links I found one for 125 at car-parts.com
  7. I just took my 93 SC300 to the garage recently and learned that the problem with the car is not the water pump but the crankshaft pulley or harmonic balancer. My mechanic called a company where he orders his parts from and they dont have any used pulleys, and new ones coast $350, I called junk yards and they dont have any. I am very tight on money and need something a lot cheaper so if anyone knows where to get one I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
  8. so they got a 9 hole one now too? yea my timing belt is crusty and old and I do need to change it. any recomindations on what kind of water pump I should get? Thanks.
  9. I would but I have around $150 to fix it and dont want to ask my parents or brother for money plus im pretty sure that someone in this forum knows if its 11 or 10.
  10. I got a 93 SC300 and my water pump broke. Every store I went to asked me if I had 11 or 10 tightening holes and I dont really know, I am pretty sure that 93 SC300s only come with only one type of stock engin and there is a big difference between them and its about $130 difference between the 10 and 11 hole water pump. Thanks.
  11. I was just wondering if it is possible to change the cluster needles by yourself or if you had to send to lextech or some other place to fix them. Thanks.
