  1. I have a simular problem with my 2001 RX300 in that the flow is correct but I have no heat. Somone please help. TKS Vaughn Vaughn. One possible problem that could cause this is that the operating lever is not opening to allow the hot water/antifreeze mixture into the heater core. You can check the operation real easy to see if it is operating. If you remove the plastic "quick screw" from the passenger side by the center console but first remove the black plastic panel from under the glove box by pulling it down carefully from the front, then the panel at the console can be slid out towards the front of the car. Get a flash light and look up under the dash towards the center of the car, you will see like a little white nylon housing with a lever arm on it, with the ingintion on operate the control for the temperature from hot to cold and this lever should travel up and down, ie opening and closing the water valve. If it is not working it could be something as simple as a fuse, this is located behind the change draw to the left of the steering wheel, consult the legend on the back of the removed tray for it's location and check to see if it is blown. If it isn't blown try cleaning the metal contacts and then reseat it in the holder, I have had this problem with my fuses. Good luck let us all know how you make out. L Turner
  2. Did you disconnect the battery or pull a fuse? If fuse, which one was it? I've searched before when having this problem but couldn't find the right fuse.
  3. The Heater problem with the none operating air direction door is now solved, albeit maybe tempory. I had a friend reseat the fuses whilst I kept operating the control switch. We tapped on all the relays we could locate and presto the door started to operate again. I will attemt to lubricate the little servo type motor up in the dash that is operating the damper. It seems to me that the fuse block behind the change tray is very tempremental, I have had trouble in there before. I have had the ABS light go on and the VSR light go on, these were reset by seating the fuses, 37 and 28 respectivly if my memory serves me correct. I would advise any RX owner to check here first if any of these types of problems happen to them. These nuisences apart I love the RX and find it a great all around vehicle
  4. Thanks, Lenore, for the reply. I reset the CPU through a Code Reader and the debris is not a problem. I have had trouble with seating the fuses in the past and it has returned error codes because of this. I really tend to think that this may be a fuse problem even though this sounds a bit barmy. Anybody got any further ideas or know the fuse number for the heating door? Also is there a relay that controls this that may be faulty? Thanks.
  5. 2001 Rx 300. The Heater control to direct the air flow to the window/ floor /panel vents does not operate. The knob lights and indexes to show where it is supposed to be directing the air but the control door in the heater is not moving and the air only comes through the panel vents. I have had trouble with the fuses in the fuse block and have had to reseat them several times because they had become insulated because of slight corrosion?? The heater door did start operating after reseating all fuses but it was slugish changing between positions, it has since stopped operating again. From the owners hand book I can not distinguish which fuse actually operates the air doors. Can anybody supply me this info or suggest any other possible causes. It looks like a pain to take the heater apart as I feel it may just need lubricating.
