  1. This site will give you the Mitchell maintenace and repaiir 1983 t0 2007. You will have to join and download and comply with the share and seed requirements. Just go to the site, join and then search for Mitchells repair. Hope this helps some members. Lexus is #10. Sorry I will not do a turotorial on this. You will have to read the readme files

    http://www.ilovetorrents.com/

  2. If you do torrents there is a site I believe you can join and download all the Mitchell repair manuals from 1983 to 2007.

It is ilovetorrents.com. Join and do a search for mitchell repair. Be sure to read the instructions as is is a little complicated.

I haven't had time to review them so if you do give us some feedback.

  3. Here is a little bat file I wrote to fix the update problem

    Copy the following to Notepad:

    regsvr32 /s wuapi.dll

    regsvr32 /s wuaueng1.dll

    regsvr32 /s wuaueng.dll

    regsvr32 /s wucltui.dll

    regsvr32 /s wups2.dll

    regsvr32 /s wups.dll

    regsvr32 /s wuweb.dll

Then save it as "update fix.bat" then run the .bat file and reboot. Just double click each file as it comes up.

Try Window update again and it should download and install OK after this.

  4. If you use the Dell repair disk it will restore the machine to the configuration as to when it came out of the box. All data will be lost. I have had excellent results recovering data with SPINRITE from gibson research. google it. I suggest, if possibe, assuming the machine is out of warrenty, removing the hard drive and slave it to another computer and recover the data to another hard drive or dvd's before going any further. Then you can do a system reinstall and reinstall all your programs later.

  5. I do have plenty of experience, but with a painted garage floor, I am wary of doing any more brake fluid flushes. Time is another issue for me now, as I'd rather not spend an afternoon doing it, myself.

But you are correct in that is not difficult as long as you bleed in the correct sequence.

    Dave

I see you are in San Diego. Just had the 30,000 check done on a ES 330 at Bob Baker Toyota on Federal Ave. $230 including a discount coupon for the brake bleed that they had at the shop.
