  1. A couple of days ago, I started to notice a small "miss" when driving on the freeway at about 65 or 70. The next day my check engine light came on. I pulled the codes as discribed in the forum (what would we do without the internet?), and got code 13. This seems to be the RPM sensor. Is that the sensor on the front of the engine at the bottom? I think it is getting a signal from the crank shaft. The wires look ok, I guess I should pull the sensor and see what it looks like. Hoping to get some guidance. John
  2. I have recently purchased a 96 LS400 and just love the car. The P.O. had replaced the front brakes (calipers, rotors and pads), but the break wear indicator light is still on. I pulled to right side front wheel to make sure everything looked right, and it does. There is a new pad wear indicator (I check it for continuity). I unplugged the indicator, and closed the circuit using aligator clips, but the light is still on. I believe that I have a broken wire somewhere. Can anyone (hopefully with an electrical manual) tell me what the indicator is wired to? Hopefully this will help in finding the broken wire. John
  3. I recently bought a 95 SC400. I have a problem with the Stereo (Nakamichi). Very little sound comes from the rear speakers. I've read that water can get in (thru the gas door drain) and get things wet. I've removed the amp, and it wasn't wet. I'm wondering if anyone has the wiring diagram they could send me to help trouble shoot the problem. Thanks in advanced, John juribe@beasly.com
  4. I just picked up a 95 SC400 in very nice shape. The only problem is that the preveous owner hit a deer. I'm hoping to find some one who has a drivers side headlight that I can get cheep. Maybe you've replaced you foggy lights with new ones. I eventually want to find either an SC400 or 300 that has been hit in the back for a donor car (let me know if you have one!). If you have a headlight that you would be willing to part with you can email me at: juribe@beasly.com Thanks
  5. I am the new owner of a 91 LS400 and love the car. I'm hoping to get many years of relativly trouble free use out of it. The timing belt was changed in the last 30,000 miles, so that should be good for a while. Does anyone know if the 91 is an interferance engine? I'm also thinking of upgrading my wheels. Will wheels from a new LS430 fit? Thanks for the info. John
