  1. How do u do that. I have the same exact problem and my bushings are worn . How can you replace them , Do you have to remove the entire sway bar to slide off the bushing from the ends or can u just open the bracket and change it. Please PM me as I am quite desperate to fix this problem.

Would u kindly describe the procedure as per the picture I am attaching .

Just in case you haven't done the job yet. I can't believe how cheap and easy it was. Take out the bolts holding the cap/ cover and slide the bushing off. They are split so they will just slip over the shaft/ bar. You will be amazed. I ended up doing it on 2 more cars with gerat results, this includes the front end also. It tightenes up the whole car, like new. Good luck.

    Thanks

Thank You very much for your help, yes I did it and it worked out really well. From the first look I did not saw the "split" between them but when I bought the bushings thats when I knew about the split. In the picture I thought the split was there because they were damaged. Thanks it worked out really well.

  3. For what sway bar bushings? White lithium grease, or black chassie grease.

It's one time where you can over-lube at will. As soon as it goes dry, it'll just squeak again.

I went to the dealer today because I had this thumping noise coming from the rear , I read some where on the forum about some one describing that noise like carrying golf balls in the trunk(i could,nt find that post), it also had the picture of two sway bar bushings. Can any one plese describe the procedure to change them , I have the factory service manual . but I am not understanding how will I remove the bushings themself.

Do I need to remove the entire stabilizer bar and slide off the bushing or do I just need to remove the bracket to remove the bushing.

I am sorry I never used forums before, so pardon my entiquettes.

  6. Hello,

I just bought some Silverstars (H7 - low) for my 2000 ES300. I am having trouble changing the bulb? Can someone give me detailed instructions on how I can change the bulb.

    Thanks.

Changing the H7 bulb is very easy. When I bought my lesus two weeks ago , I was very frustated because I was not even able to change the light bulb. but here is how to do it . (lexus ES 300 97 to I think 01)

    1. Open the Hood :P

    2. disconnect the cable going to the H7 Bulb.

    3. You will a black circular rubber cover with two tabs, (one on top and one at the bottom of the cover)

    4. remove the cover by jiggling the two tabs.

    5. Inside u will see the bulb holder which in held by a metal clip.

    6. remove the clip and gently slide out the bulb .

    7. inser the new bulb crefully into the bulb holder(or socket)with the base without touching the actual glass itself.

    8. place the bulb holder into the hole while keeping in mind the direction (top or bottom). Secure it with the clip.

    9. Insatll the rubber cover the way it was before , reconnect the cable , and test the light.

    Thanks
