  1. I'm sorry but jkrutch is right and you are wrong. Here is why: I did test drove my car like much of the owners and everything was OK. The noise came for my car around the 1,000 miles. I see that you have a Ls400, and they were very well built. If Lexus were doing test drive of their new cars for over 100,000 miles before putting them on the market, as you think, then they should be noise free...maybe this was the case when they started with the Ls400. Problems can show up later on, when driving the car on a daily basis, this is the case.
  2. I too am experiencing chatter from my sunroof. I am curious to know how you resolved your issue. Thanks You are not the only one! Check following forum you will have a much better idea of whats going on with the LS 460 wind noise : http://www.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=178 look at "wind noise update" Hope this will help.
  3. To help other LS owners, please clarify: 1. Since when do you have your car/how many miles? 2. Getting an exchange is great. I guess that this means the dealer wasn't able to repair. 3. Did you get in touch with Lexus Customer Service to get the exchange? 4. If this appears to be just an agreement between you and your dealer, how your experience could help other owners to also get an exchange from dealers who are not so helpful. Thank you ;)
  4. Here is the name of the fix: LEMON LAW. If they cannot fix it then, you can apply for a lemon after 3 attempts. ;) :chairshot:
  5. I don't think people would complain if it was a $15-20K car!
  6. Its fine to say that for $70k the flagship should be perfect, and the LS is damn near perfect for a TON less money than the competition, but things like this are a matter of physics. Lexus cannot defy physics. Sorry, but this is not the point. It's not because the LS is less money than the competition that the customer must be more tolerant with such issues. The LS is a Flag ship, and Lexus must work harder and should check the top of the line way better than this. If aproduct is not fully ready, they should delay its launch, avoiding customers to deal with that kind of issue. If they don't know how to control wind noise, then they should not build a Flag ship! Many makes don't have one. Just my 2 cents. ;)
  7. Flag ship @ 70K should be perfect. period.
  8. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT THE DEALER THOUGHT THE ORIGIN OF THE PROBLEM IS? They adjusted the window strip. They said :due to the "aerodynamic design" :whistles: of the vehicule air flow is close to the surface of the body and creates a "normal" "buffeting" noise :o I called Lexus and complained. I will get this issue resolved as well as brake pedal squeal. This is really unacceptable for a such a vehicule. I not fixed in time, I'm decided to apply for the lemon law.
  9. I have the same problem. I brought the car to the dealer and get it back yesterday. It is better than before but not enough for my taste, I'm not 100% happy. Will certainely go back and complain. Hope they will be able to fix it completely. ;)
  10. Hi, What is yours ? I am thinking about either black obsidian/cashmere (must be washed at least twice a week !) or white starfire pearl/cashmere (easier to keep clean !) :)
  11. Hi, Ska-man In fact I'm also a V8 big fan, but I didn't include the GS430 in my selection because as you said Lexus is going to replace it next spring with the GS460. Knowing that, would you still spend the extra money for the actual GS430 ? (MSRP for a fully loaded GS430 is 58,252 vs. 51,277 for a GS350, with almost the same performances) The GS350 has VSC not VDIM. Does this make a major difference ? Regarding the wheels I agree 100%, standard wheels are not great, I will upgrade and get the 18" with the new G-Spider rims, they are awsome. ;)
  12. Hi, Ska-man From all the answers I got yours is the most realistic and the most intelligent. You really brought some really good points which opened my eyes. I think I will go for the GS. One more question, when you bought your 06' GS 430, the 350 wasn't out yet, so to day would you get the 430 again over the 350, knowing (except the V8) that both cars have (except the torque) similar performances. thanks ;)
  13. Hi, Yes, you are right. IS owners will not advise to get a GS and reverse. Finally this was a stupid post as I do realize that I cannot base my own choice on others people choices. Anyway I appreciate your comments. Thank you for answering. ;)
  14. Hi, I need advices from owners. My actual lease is out in 2 months and I start shopping around. My actual ride is a RX 330. I don't want to get the "new" RX 350 as it seems to be the same car with just a little bit more power. Futhermore I dont want a SUV anymore. So my choices are reduced to : -IS 350 fully loaded. Total MSRP $45,422 -GS 350 fully loaded. Total MSRP $51,277 These 2 cars have the same engine/power. I know they are 2 different animals, but I like to get your advice. Thanks in advance ;)
