  1. Where online is the best place to sell my IS 350? It's going to be hard to get rid of, it's an awesome car.

    Why are you selling!?

One main reason is I can't sell my other car. I originally had someone that wanted to purchase my BMW so I didn't trade it in, then of course they got turned down for the loan (that was there excuse). For the past 5 months I've been paying for two cars.

AutoTrader both online and the print version. I'd also put it in the Atlanta newspaper classifieds.

I've had good luck with the Auto Trader in the past but I wasn't sure if a fairly expensive 2007 Lexus would sell in the Auto Trader.

  2. I am almost certain a buyer will have to pay tax.

Ask yourself - why would you buy a used car (even slightly used) when you can buy a brand spanking new one for the same price?

In all likelihood you have lost about 4-6k on the car.

I don't think I'll loose nearly that much. I looked at autotrader.com in my area and the lowest 2007 IS350 was $37900 w/4k miles, many were $40000 used. The 2006's ranged from $34900-$37900, many of these had over 15k miles.

  3. obviously, you will not be able to sell for the same price. its still a used car no matter how new the car is. i think you can salvage most of it, maybe 1-2K off the price.

question: what are you selling such a great car this fast?

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to sell it. I've always owned BMW's and really like European/German styling. When the IS came out it was a great car and I figured for the money I couldn't get a BMW that would match up. I bought my IS about a month before the new 335 came out, that car looks awesome. I usually don't make crazy decisions like this (buy a brand new car and sell it 3 months later); I'm not going to let myself loose too much money. I did get the car $2500 of list.

I wonder how easy it would be to sell such a new car though???? I know that if a 'like new' was available back in Sept I would have jumped on it to save me the tax.

  4. When I have the headlights set to come on auto then turn the car off they automatically go off in about 30 seconds. The same happens when I turn the headlights to the on position because they sometimes don't automatically come on when I want them to. My question is, when I manually turn the headlights on, they turn the car off, the headlights automatically go off in about 30 seconds, just like when I have the headlights in the auto position, does this wear down the battery? If I want the headlights on all the time can I simply keep them turned to the on position with no problems?

  5. Well I finally got the parking lights replaced. The only problem is I was trying to get my daytime running lights to have the 'xenon' look, unfortunately I didn't do my research and assumed the dtrl were the parking lights. The damn guy at the dealer told me they were the parking lights and when the headlights came on the dimmed 40%. No wonder they dim so much, because its not the same damn bulb. What a waste of time. I guess I need to order some 9006 bulbs.

  6. You'll be more likely to wash it to clean the brake dust off the front wheels than because the body looks dirty. Second, it reflects heat better so it's cooler in the summer. I also agree, it shows off the lines better too.

I couldn't agree more. I end up washing my silver IS 350 once a week simply because my front rims are black from brake dust. I've never owned a car that has this much terrible brake dust.

  7. I've owned both black and silver cars. I currently have a silver IS 350 and a black BMW. The BMW looks great right after I wash it but looks dirty within a couple days. Not to mention the black BMW shows every little scratch and swirl marks from washing the car.

Also, I think the silver IS looks better than black because it shows off the lines of the car better. The lines of the IS are great and on the black ones they tend to hide the lines. Just my 2 cents.

  8. Read through this thread. It should explain most of this for you re DRL, parking lights, etc.

    http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...disable+DRL%27s

Thanks, good thread. But it didn't tell me how to turn off the DRL's. Anyone have an idea how I can do this?

Why don't you just unplug the bulbs or remove the bulbs? Seems like the easiest way to solve your problem.

    -GM

I'm assuming that would create a 'light bulb error' on the dash?????

I think I'm going to get some of those xenon match bulbs. None of the dealers I've talked to seem like they want to try and figure out how to get the lights cut off, everyone I talk thinks I'm crazy. I think there crazy for wanting daytime running lights, I hate the way they look.
