  1. Obviously, if you are still under warranty and didn't hack the nav, you want the dealer to look at this. Alternatively, getting the '08 DVD update might help, because you don't have to hit "I Agree". Thank you. I will stop by the dealer as we are still under warranty. Stopped by the delaer. The lower half of the screen has a defect so they have to install a new nav unit - Thank god it is under warranty.

  3. I can't get by the welcome screen on our 06 IS250's navigation. When I want to press "I agree" it is not reacting but the screens react to language icon under the info bottom but that is the only icon it reacts to - so the screen is not 100 percent dead but seems stucked. I tried to take out the fuse and system did a reboot but didn't fix. Any suggestions? Thank you
  4. We had our car in for service once and we got four 5-inches sratches on the roof from the courtesy carwash at the dealer. They totally denied it and couldn't fix the scratches completely. So now we are left with scrathes on the roof... No sorry or anything but instead the blamed us for making them before it got to the dealer... I hope that your dealer might be honest! Have it replaced if you can then there's no hedache afterwards. Good luck.
  5. Our IS250 has the same problem with the paint and after 8 months of complaining back and forth with the dealer and 800-25-lexus they finally agreed on doing something about the paint. Though I have to mention that our car has two painting errors under the clear coat and by the gas tank lip the gasoline went through the clear coat and paint and gave a mis-colored paint. After letters and a lot of complaints we still had no luck but after getting a second opinion from a different dealership we finally succeed in getting the issued addressed and the 800-25-lexus has been most helpful ever since we got the second opinion. The second dealer also pointed out that our car had more chips on the front than usual - based on miles etc. We wash the car to avoid scrathes from carwashes. We do not drive every day and try to avoid roads with a lot of debris lie stones etc. Still though our 8 months IS250 looks like it been driven 2 years based on scrathes, chips... :(
  6. Thanks for your advise. We will try to bug the dealership again.
  7. Hi All, I'm new to this forum. My girlfriend got a new IS250 a couple of months back and we have already been at the dealership three times now to complain. The brakes are making a clearly grinding sound when the brakes are being released after stopping in traffic. This grinding sound is not only when we start driving the car after being turned off but all the time in traffic. Have any of you the same problem? We have been at the dealership and they are telling us that they are aware of the problem but they need enough complaints to get a recall before they can fix it... So far we haven't heard of any with the same problem...? Second it seems like the paint on the IS models is thin and easy get scratches. Is there anything like wax etc. which can make the paint more resistant? I hope to hear from you. Thanks.
