  1. On my way to pick up 20's right now. I haven't heard anything bad about the Tien CS, and since they are on the cheaper side of that scale, AND I can get the EDFC for another $300 to put the total cost at what the HKS go for, why not have a sweet control unit from the inside of the car? Coilovers are great, but when it comes down to it, do you really want to bust out the adjustment wrench everytime you want to adjust your ride, or simply press a button and watch the control unit do it for you? So I guess my answer is I'll be getting the Tien CS with EDFC, after I get my 20's today. Thanks for the advice.
  2. So I know this debate has occured in these forums previously, but what coilovers should I get? I like the Teins (probably FLEX or CS) because you can get the EDFC unit that controls the settings from inside the car, but at the same time, the HKS Hipermax Damper II look like they are a worthy oponent, and with 30 damper adjustments, they're bound to feel nice at some point. I have a friend that has JIC coilovers on his eclipse and swears by them, but maybe I don't want my GS4 to feel like a porsche. Either way looks like I'm having to drop between $1400-$1800 Any thoughts on the matter, anyone running the HKS coilovers.
  3. 98 GS4...I was just quoted $340 for lube only, at the dealership. On a better note, I just adjusted the wheel top to bottom, front to back and I guess there was enough lube somewhere in there to stop the squeak. If it comes back, I guess I'll just dismantle the thing myself.
  4. Has anyone had the problem of a squeaky @ss steering wheel when it telescopes down upon start up? It bugs, and I need it to stop, but dont want to get bent over when I roll :chairshot: into the dealership.
  5. Thanks for the advise Blue. Would you happen to know where to get a TC cheap? (PM) Also, did you dynomat your whole ride, or just the trunk area? I'm thinking that the doors don't need it like my old Honda. By the way...that is a sick ride, got any more pics?
  6. So I picked up a 400 and wanted to get your advice on my first new mods. 1. Wheelz: 20's vs. 22's I'm looking at a set of 20's...I would like 22's, but am afraid they will be too sloooow (does anyone here run 22's?). Also is 8.5" on all four wide enough? 2. Coilovers: Any good advice on a solid set of coilovers? I am most concerned with a comfortable ride. 3. Intake: I've been looking at the SRT intake, is there a better one, or does the K&N work just as good? 4. Headers: Does anyone make a set of headers for the V8? 5. Torque Converter: I haven't been able to find much about the TC for the 400, is it worth the $$? 6. System: Looking at JL10W7's with a JL1000wx1 fiberglassed in...any advice on dealing with the trunk and dynomat...Is there anyone that knows if 10's or 12's sound better in the GS? Ok so in exchange for the free advise I will post pics when I get more than a stock model. Thanks!
